  1. I did some polishing for most of today, takes a long time. Used my new 5mge powered lathe. Worked well.
  2. Im sill excited about Think i will do on corona. Twin side exit stz though.
  3. Thats choice, I will definitely browse this mag in the book shop.
  4. The newer euro cars? A4 audis, vw passats etc? And would be spare wheels obviously, possibly even space savers that you could widen to fit hella flush.
  5. Come up for the next monthly palmy pub meat.
  6. Yeah, Got AW11 for that though. Want to do huge stand stills on peoples drive ways, then down the street and round the corner.
  7. Swt, we got 3 people in palmy waiting...
  8. Personally i wouldnt bother with loctite When i did theses wheels I just did them up to the torque i though suitable and that was that. I checked them again after about 5000k and they were still the same. They are only 2 piece, but im not sure it would matter. If i had a wheel like ssr mk2 with only a few bolts holding it together i would probably use loctite but for your wheels it would just make it a PITA when you want to split them again if they leak.
  9. Iv noticed the spinning in neutral too. Lots of things do it. I cant explain it. Mean.
  10. Am in two minds about this. Do i slam it shitless now and pay for suspension cert or, Take it to about 100mm and then do this to make a full cert worth it? Cos for 1300ish you can get a motor, box, ecu and wires. Cheap. Would keep it auto spec for traffic light burn outs and cheapness and give me time to polish wheels to mirrors. I think a 1u would be no harder than most other conversions and would pretty much rule face with straight pipes cut through sills? Father is an auto sparky. Will see how much money is left over from AW11... [/dream]
  11. haha I also read in your voice. craxup
  12. Oh we talking bout different things. The velocity only changes in the section of pipe with the different diameter. I dont think the pressure at the pump would differ enough to make a difference. I was talking about Just a random equation that enplanes venturis / fluid flowing through different diameter pipes. Conclusion: Do it, will be fine as long as its all sealed
  13. Static pressure is constant between diameters, its when it starts moving that pressure changes. Nothing to do with the question though haha. It should be fine, iv seen some very ugly cooling system set ups and they worked ok. Will you be replacing a smaller pipe or using it because you dont have one already?
  14. What happened to those silly wide wheels? ?
  15. The water wont stall but it will move slower and still flow the same volume per second. Would you believe that the pressure will be greater in the larger pipe? Believe it...
  16. more sillycoan. I run tubes in my 3 pieces. Is mint cos i just split them to get tyres on / off.
  17. hai guys, anybody had just a suspension cert done? No engine conversion etc. What you pay? And this has probably been asked millions: Anybody know good cert guy in palmy? Some dont like tyre stretch. Will ring and ask for price but would be good to see what others have payed. Chrs
  18. Is a cert cheaper if he doesnt have to check over everything like an engine conversion? Cos just checking the suspension would be like a 10 min job. If not, might as well do a conversion. Theres that voice in my head again... STFU voice, i cant afford a BEAMS. I think they are from front of a b1600 ute.
  19. Yeah, i was watching it then too haha. Found it on the side of the road in Ashhurst with for sale sign. Post pics? Yeah, Same with the AW11. Not worth trying to make honey out of dog shit. Insert 3sgte / red wheels. haha I thought the same. Im not worried about getting the rear low enough. Its the front and the 100mm clearance thing that worries me. Heres my welcome to the stretched tyre club. I think it was a bit low on pressure so the turn in test killed it. Small hole in tube so will patch with bicycle patch.
