  1. Rubbish software, Ill hand programmed in conversational on the controller before i touch Bobcam again. Surfcam and alphacam are good. Cheaper stuff like VisualMill 2014 is pretty damn good for the price as well ($1950 + GST)
  2. I would LOVE a wagon version of one of these, particularly for sleeping/camping. Looks wicked, does it have a 1gge in it? or the downright dangerous 1gfe?
  3. 2 Weeks ago, was this fine automobile at Langs beach up northwood?
  4. You must be tight for space if the alternator belt situation is determining your oil hose routing. I thought we were tight with a 1uz turbo in a AA60 Carina....
  5. This is the Xbox Kinect, the new kinect looks amazing for the Xbox one, however the programs to use it dont exist yet, and microshaft are keeping the tech real close to their chest for now. But its resolution will be 10000000 times better. Eeeeeven better, ive scored a job at a CNC routing workshop, so will have access to machines that could make mdf moulds etc. Exciting times Now i should really work on a car...
  6. Not yet, i am just stoked i got something useable out of the thing finally.
  7. RIGHT, so i finally go the scanning thing-a-ma-bob to do what i wanted it to, and i got a result that i was aiming for the whole time. Idea: Scan -> CAD cool shit using factory lines -> form machine on CNC routers -> fiberglass Scan Mesh Model!!!!!!!!! I can run tool paths over this and machine something fathemable. Offset surfaces for plugs/material thickness etc etc Just trying to get the surface to be smooth, figure out how to make this nicer
  8. I have a job interview for a CNC routing place in coming week. Could be interesting work. They make plugs and moulds for boats/helicopter canopies along with signs and other junk. It looks like more interesting CNC work then drilling lots of holes in metal.
  9. Awesome build man. I dont know what it is with Blacktop 20v's but everyone ive built/rebuilt/opened looks like the one you have. People just never seem to change the oil in them! Open throttles will make everything worth it
  10. Buying whole beasts is so much cheaper then buying butchered meat. Makes you feel more caveman too. Nice fabrication looks amazing. My Sheet metal skills are rubbish
  11. Yow, are you still going to delete the pop up lights?
  12. Its on the cards my friend, just battling a new computer to do CAD on atm
  13. PM Me, it does take a loooooooonnnnnnng time to get stuff done by him. I wrote the program, and the machining time is 34 minutes, proberly took me 3 hours to write the program. Took him 5 weeks to machine it haha And i will be leaving it raw for now and abusing the crap out of it to see if i should make some more to sell/give to friends
  14. Hey guys, I thought id start a page of engineering type projects i do start and share with everyone. I welcome everyone to throw up their projects as well, anything to do with 3d Scanning, 3d Printing, CNC machining or just general "thats cool" engineering stuff. I thought id throw up a BMX race stem i designed. It is made on a 5 Axis incremental DMG (deckle Maho) CNC Mill. This was done on a trunion style machine with a rotary table. It was programmed from the solid model using Edgecam and was kindly machined for me by a friend. Stem was designed in Solidworks 2013 to be used as a BMX race stem weighing 10 oz (bmx stuff is in pounds and ounces so its easier to use this unit of measurement when comparing to other parts) Tool paths I should be getting the finished parts with caps early next week, i cant wait!
  15. Yes that schematic definately illustrates your problem effectively. Crane
  16. Hi, Long time reader first time caller. Cool stuff ive read so far. Regarding the crane, why not block and tackle it into place? Get Royal Wolf to fit 2 large wooden beams fixed to the underside of the container, hiab it off on side, then drag it up your driveway, then jack it up and slide it onto its foundations/posts? You could concrete in some posts now around the property to afix anchor points to. I only ask as this is what we had to do shifting a 11 tonne injection moulding machine, 70 metres into a factory. I image a shipping container is lighter then that? Man hour cost < Crane cost
  17. Pictureless update: Looks like im keeping this as no one wants to buy it, so i started working on the gearbox crossmember last night and started hole sawing the chassis rails this morning for bolt holes. Took a general overview to do: Gearbox Xmember Radiator Support bracket Manifolds finished Zorst Wiring Fuel Lengthen Driveshaft Auto gearbox linkage extended Single Wheel Peelers? Sell? Long term storage?
  18. Oh man i saw this picture float around on facebook and didnt realise it was yours. Gutted man. No crumpling of the chassis rails like my AE?
  19. How have i not seen this thread, good work man, cars all look business as. Jelly of the crown with real suspension as well.
  20. That model corona has all the bad ideas from a crown, shoved in a chassis that is smaller and more difficult to wield a large hammer under to get crap out like springs. You should turbo this for maximum lols, i even see a turbo on ur floor u can use
  21. So this beast cruising down the Boulevard today. A little smokey/rich but looks boss
