  1. Sweet il be back out at the shed on the weekend so il take a few more photos and put them up.
  2. Thanks guys Shes never going to be a show car but theres just a few things like the holes from were ive drilled out some of the spot welds in the engin bay that I want to weld up and I think il do a few of the others I dont need wile im in there. I was not sure if they were real Watanabes when I bought them. They are very light and I think they may be magnesium, I showed them to mark105 when I was round at his place one day and he said I should ask you to see what kind of markings I should be looking for to identafy them. We tryed them on unky Tanks EX Lancer a few weeks back and they fit mint so il clean and paint them when I get time and then I think he's going to run them for a bit. I realy hope so, it is starting to get close but well see Also big thanks to mark105 for the water pump flange, its perfect now I just need to decide were I want to run the water hose's
  3. Since it was such a nice sunny day today I thought lid get the old girl for a bit,I was sick of seeing it sitting up so high in the front so I gave the springs a bit of a trim, I will be making up some adjustable front struts before it goes back on the road but for now this will do. I finished side mounting the alternator yesterday and have ordered a new belt to suit,I have also done most of the piping for the electric water pump and will be dropping my radiator off to get the new inlet and outlets welded on tomorrow. Ive bought a few more sets of wheels for it also, my dad told me that one of his friends had got a spear set of wheels with an old rally car he bought that he didn't want. There 13x6.5 and 7 in 4x114 so I will need adapters to run then but I think they should look prity tough. I also got a pair of these Dunlops but this is the only picture I can find of them. All going well il get my radiator back by the end of the week and also some oil lines and then it should prity much be time for the engine to come back out so I can clean up and the engine bay. Oh and discussion ect viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20102
  4. I vote for injection,my boss in aus had an rx3 wagon with 13b pp and ida type injection and you could drive that thing around town just like it was a normal car (apart from the noise) no problem it was so streetable yet when you wanted to give it some stick it would get up and just go.
  5. I just split my BBS's yesterday, I put them in the oven at 250C for 5min and gave them a bit of a wack with a rubber hammer worked mint
  6. Im keen to leav hams say mid day-mid arvo so would be good to meet up with auck crew. Also palmy has a sweet skate park and there was even a little one at felding also, prity sure that was mostly dirt jumps tho so skate bords may not be of much use there
  7. Just get them filled with rubber aw,theres a guy down here that dose it to bike tyres not to sure how well it would work on a car though
  8. Thanks guys, the wheels are 13x7 or 71/2 im not sure and the tyres are 155/65/13s,took a bit to get them to pop onto the bead but nothing an air canon couldn't fix. I was thinking electric water pump firstly just to make the radiator pipes easier as theres next to stuff all room down there and in the future when i decide I need more power i wont have to worry about upgrading the stock one/do it once do it right kinda thing. Will have to look up SHGWAG's thread and have a read. Oh and James is like the security guard out at the shed, every time I go out there some ones moved him some were else,it gives you a bit of a shock when you see him just out the corner of your eye
  9. TRIMS!!! Also made hole for BOV and started messing around with water pipes which got me thinking about maybe going for an electric water pump just to give me a bit more room for the the bottom hose,I hear they can also free up a bit more power and controll water temps better than a normal one? Has any one else on here used one before and if so what did you think of it?
  10. +1,aslong as it not like the most coldest most miserablest day ever again
  11. Choice, will drop you a txt tomoro some time find out were you are ect
  12. Thanks bro,I just hope it starts to spool up befor it gets to close to the red line and i have to change gear haha The exhaust is easy to change,il be very happy if thats all they fail it on when it comes time to go for cert... But yea, dreams are free
  13. I vote gold rims,I think they always look tuff on red cars
  14. Will match the ones on the tow car now to;) Same here,if it fails cert on that its got a V-band clamp right on the back of the muffler and ive got another straight pipe that i made to go in its place but it shouldnt be to hard to add another muffler if need be.
  15. Shouldnt be to much further off i hope, the main things are the wiring drive sharft and re making new water in/outlets for the water pump housing, then its all just peacing everything back together realy
  16. So ive been a bit to bizy working on the shed and other cars lately to do much on this for a wile now but i got most of my aloy bits back last week so chucked all that back in to make sure it still fits, could do with a bit of filing/bashing with a hamer but im prity happy with it all. The intercooler was a SCARLS(?) EVO7 one i got which I cut the end tanks off and made my own to fit, its 450mm long,320mm high and 90mm thick and I had 50mm to play with on each end for the tanks so its abit of a tight fit between the radiator shroud but it works. My dad picked these up from a church fair for $5 brand new in the box with Mazda centre caps even, I havnt got a jack out at the shed so have not tryed them yet but i think they should look prity sweet on the wide steels.
  17. Also agree with yowser, thursdays are good but prity much any night would suit
  18. I was having a look at 10'' wide rims on http://www.tyrestretch.com/index.php and found these 185/60 195/45 205/45 225/45 I like the 225/45's like your thinking of,they have just the right amount of stretch and look sooooo tuff
  19. Cut the car not the wheels, when its got the flares on you wont be able to see the gaurd so it wont matter if you trim some off it,also what kinda size tyres are you thinking of useing?
  20. Haha Il make three so I can sell one to paye for my one and your one
  21. cheers bro and same to you with your cars,i remember first seeing your orange wagon at the nats maybe 5 or 6 years ago, it just looked so freash and clean next to all the ''blinged up'' mazdas just seen this now, maybe i shouldnt have cut up my omp,oh well
