  1. I'm looking for a new diff to put into my Capella but would like to keep it on 13'' wheels so it will need to ether have small breaks or be easy to convert to a smaller break set up. I was thinking ether Hilux or Estima but I will also need to re drill the axles to 4x110 and am not sure if I can do this with axles that are 5x114. Any help/advice would be great. Cheers.
  2. Can be done but the Metro/Montego/ERA ect carbs are different. The main noticeable difference is the line from the front of the carb to the top of the float bowl to pressurize it. (The black hose in the midle of the pic) Im not completely sure but I think they also run a different kind of seal on the butterfly rod but I think that's about it.
  3. +1 Looking good dude, Always nice to see old Mazda's been restored to this standard instead of just matte black with modjays and camo door cards
  4. Nar bro has some kinda etch or some thing in it so just paint straight onto clean bear steel. Give it a good sand so it has some thing to key into and it will be mint.
  5. To cure paint bake in an oven for one hour at 200ºF (93ºC) Note that this may cause the wrinkles to be tighter. Also note tighter wrinkles=dope ass wrinkles yo!

    185 55 r13?

Thanks Brock-Lee but I think if any thing even a 185 may be getting a bit wide out the back as there's not a lot of room in the guards. I see fuel was running 175 60's on his Viva viewtopic.php?t=12714 so I might even look into them as the side wall is only about .1 of an inch higher. Cheers 4AG_Addict do Affordable Tyres in CHCH sell new tyres aswell?
  8. I think it was about 150ish for 20 minutes, made the hole house stink and food taste a bit funny for a few days but it was worth it. Il double check what it says on the can when I get out to the shed this weekend and get back to you about temp/time ect.

    185 55 r13?

I got a set of 175 50's but they just look a bit small over all to me, the car needs a little more side wall to fill up the wheel arches. Also they may be a little bit much of a stretch on a 9.5'' rim. Im in Hamilton so would you have a phone number for for Drury tyres by any chance?
  10. that shit is impossible to get in NZ I believe Repco bro, bought some of that for Tanka bell for his birthday. Also car is sex and know no mater what you do to it it will be awesome

Any one seen any of these around? Have found a Yokohama A520, A Pirelli P66 and A Toyo R610 on the internets but cant seem to find any one that will sell me some. Any help any one would be able to give me would be great. Cheers.
  12. I did it, used a hole saw just bigger than the lip in the centre of the rim, you carnt even tell its been done.
  13. Puta rota init? /lol Bit stink about the fuel in sump thing bro, are you just going to wip the moter straight out or see if you can get it to run again first?
  14. This is looking so sweet but theres just one ting I want to know... Were on earth did you get those tyres? I spent almost a hole year trying to find 165 55 13's before I gave up and went for 155 65's. Every body I went to told me I would have to import some myself. One last thing, you reckon they will fit on a 13x9.5
  15. Agree with fuel, some super skinny tyres and some sweet sweet camber Its looking good man love the fins.
  16. Looking good bro, cant wait to see this thing rolling fins with 175 50's
  17. Those MK III's fit perfect dude, now all it needs are some 15x10's for the back
  18. Well I'm still slowly tinkering away on this, the main thing that's been holding me up is the weather, I need a few more fine days to finish off a bit of painting and then she's pretty much all ready to put back together. Any way I have managed to get some bits done, I painted the cores of my radiator oil cooler and intercooler with a ceramic heat paint and then did the tanks, pipes ect with wrinkle paint. Was a bit cold out still so I riged up a wee bake oven to put them in after woods and left them to cure over night. I also chucked a few more wheels together last week just to see how they would look on the car. The white wall isn't exactly ideal but its just what I had lying around. The wheels worked out to be 13x8.5'' and the tyre is a 155 70. I got a few more wheels on the way as well but I'll wait till they arrive so I can get some decent photos of them and stick them up.
  19. I'm sorry seedyst of Al's but I just cant make this happen, I will start rounding up troops/chloroform soaked rags to get a few of these lazy old barsteds down to swap meet
