MY race car had Triumph radiator, cooled the old 253 and my 4.0l Falc motor. Admittedly after 8 laps of 7000 rpms it was a little hot but did the job well. Spam but most of early Kuriger spaceframe stockcar chassis fitment of Triumph radiator was the norm, and theyve cooled Rover/Ford/Holden V8s for years in stockies.
^^^ Hmm yes I see what you getting at.... water that comes out of water outlet is not hot... Nah idea goneburger, back to bike motor stz I thinks. Put it in the too hard /cbf basket, just thought 115hp.........doughys on
Oh forgot to add going to run a radiator with water pumped thru it via electric pump. As to diff gonna stand it upright, build a mild steel bellhousing directly onto the diff, and run a clutch fork to hydro cylinders
K, Old man got a 115hp Johnson outboard with a fucked gearbox. I gots a thinking might mate a flywheel/clutch to a small ST90 diff and run direct drive in my go kart. Comments anyone
Airtek brand? Checked float level? those pumps(if Airtek) are internally regulated. Had one on my 4.0l in stockcar with weber carb on it. That had no return line, but did similar thing due to needle valve being stuck.
Pertaining to grille stz, I know of a steel grille ,'30s, unsure what its off, will see what the guts is with it. Leave it with me an' I'll talk with person in possession of said grille.
Tis an interesting one. I would be questioning the strength of the transaxle though. Spose if you not too overzealous with er, dropping the clutch, it might last....
Alternator was first thought. Dad had it checked when he first got it. The grumpy old bugger only told me last night it had the problem when he parked it up........
Will try the brakleen idea. Thanks UJ
The ones on the XJ have a few cracks around them, possibly causing an vacuum leak. Was going to try and coat them with a even coat of clear Permatex Silicon. Reckon it will work or am I going to pay thru the muthafuckn nose for some new ones????
