  1. Was telling him to do that earlier. One leaf should be fine as it's the one holding all the shit together anyway. The rest just add more spring.
  2. If I have the cash / figure out what I need then yep, keen
  3. Ah ok, yeah I do recall you talking about it in the past but wasn't really listening. Yeah will check it out. You weren't even running front shocks?
  4. So keen to slam this shit in the criz. What's the go with doing wishbone suspension? Are they just the hollow bags so the shocks can still fit?
  5. They are all over trademe for $200-$300 usually
  6. Question that I expect another huge debate over; would this work? Supercharger feeds into turbo, feeds into IC into engine. There is a bypass pipe past the SC with a one way flap / valve thing in it. When flap opens, switch is toggled to deactivate SC clutch. Charger runs at low revs, at low boost (~5psi). Turbo then spools up to ~10psi. Here is where I get a tad uncertain as to what will happen... Will the turbo start to draw enough air in to bypass the SC and shut it off, or will it end up having the same compound effect as discussed before?
  7. TBH I'd go for it, not every car has to be built to the highest efficiency / driveability / performance etc whatever, especially when it's just for a bit of fun. Just do it for the wank factor, experience, knowledge and so on. Fully keen to try this on my diesel, so I may just do so.... There's a lot of cats here dishing out contradictory information on the subject, yet none (including me) have ever had any 1st hand experience with this sort of setup. It's all just repeating other peoples opinions that they have heard from.
  8. Really, it comes down to what you are trying to achieve with your engine. If you're going for all out power, fuel efficiency / economy means jack shit. If you want a reliable daily with a bit of kick, then what you are saying does make more sence. However I still don't get what you are on about 'flow'. Sure, a big turbo can flow more air through it, but it's still gonna be flowing the same amount as a smaller turbo / SC on the same engine at the same boost levels. The only difference is it's gonna take longer to spool up.
  9. k 14.70 + 4 = 18.7PSI, / 14.7 = 1.272:1 CR 14.7 + 12 = 26.7, / 1.272 = 20.99, - 14.7 = 6.29PSI So run 7PSI from turbo, into 4 from supercharger to get around 12PSI at engine (math doesn't take potential losses into account)
  10. Same concept, only with 2 turbos. Principle is still the same, but turbos have a more dynamic CR. Ya could use as many turbos and supercharges you like, in theory. Engine will probably have a winge at you though
  11. Pretty keen to attempt this on my diesel wagon, just for some lols. Fucked if I care how well it actually works
  12. Sa-weet. Pretty sure our gas bottle is topped up and cockroaches have been vacated
  13. Is it enough to counter the power used to spin the SC?
  14. Actually, if my vehicle reassembly goes to plan, I may be taking an engine down to Naprrrrr So, maybe.
  15. Seen a 2008? model Merc coupe absolutely vomiting brown out the tailpipe. No idea what actually caused it, but I bet it's far from good.
  16. Yeah, pretty sure you are correct, Heard that elsewhere too
