  1. could be up for sale soon. if anyone is intrested, PM me
  2. i see youve also posted you wont use bog... im fairly sure you will be, would be way too costly to have it entirely metal finished, and good luck finding beaters that can!!... if you epoxy it all correctly, and use decent bog, it will last. make sure when you get to the paint process to have it 'spray bogged' or 'spritzed'.... will hold down alot of imperfections and give a high film build... be sure to let the spray bog sit for a wee while to properly cure and sink right into the panel beaters scratches. all the resto jobs ive seen and been involved with have been done like this and will last forever!
  3. take your boy to the pub with you, its not against the law lol, my boys come to the pub with me... its all g
  4. looks pretty solid bro... good starting point
  5. tbh, i love it as is, looks fat... you should have some sill panels folded up and stitch them to the tray to keep the lines flowing.... i love b16z, hearty
  6. im head car painter in one of new plymouths busiest paintshops in NP called funniely enough "The Paintshop" lol been top painter there for years now by myself, i keep 2 booths cranking all day long averaging a minimum of 10-15 cars a day
  7. only got the mods cos they poped up really cheap, can get other wheels later... Motor is in very very good condition and tuned well, it just takes about 5 laps around the block and about 15 mins to warm up properly though hahaha shoots huge flames as per tail lights, the previous owner cut and re-arranged the tail light housing to suit chrome bumper model tail lights (fail) so it was fairly munted in that area... was just an easier way of tidying it up. heaps has changed in the last few weeks, and probly gunna be painting it very soon
  8. just brought some 15"x7" modulars need tyres now, w00t
  9. love it to bits, mean conversion gotta say, crap photos... this is what it probly looks like to future purchasers that buy from me on trademe haha, cell ph pics ftw good on you
  10. that is a good price mate. I have a mate with one of these, original yellow, i want to paint it a pale yellow and dress it up like a pound of butter, red 50gm stripes and all haha
  11. sooo... i have a drivable car again, YAY... went thru without too many issues. i must say i do like the normal open diff to the lockie that was in it... complete different car to drive now. very happy in that respect. need to find the brake adjuster bit for the drivers side shoe... never had one in it gay buzz there (if any one has some or know of some... theyre the bits that are circlipped to the brake shoe/pad, need the small spring too!! holla at me) went for a hoon, did some skidz, slipped some clutch next on the list, put my flowmaster resonator muffler type thingy in it along with new tip in the attempt to make it quieter. buy wheels (still saving) buy a 5puk clutch kit (clutch last, as i can drive the car and want to make it legal asap) thoughts?
  12. changed the lock diff to rx3 short nose open wheeler. got new brake shoes, wheel cylnders, bearings, diff oil, brake fluid and my axles, been converted to 5x114.... as it turns out the shop cant follow labled instructions as theyve put the right side backing plate on the left axle and vice versa... result: handbrake cables wont mate up so theyve been dropped back off to have the new $56 each bearing smashed out and new ones pressed in... i'll go ape shit if i have to pay for this as every part was labled left and right. gunna be a cunt if i snap an axle hahaha
  13. lenso pd9's im thinking, they have a old school look at the same time of being new... also depends if im going 100ml wider per side that is, then probly get somthing close to 10" wide trying to track down some cheap/free shitty 5 stud wheels to use for when it goes into the engineering shop to have 5 stud rear end conversion. just so its still a roller untill i buy mags/tyres
  14. na its not hard to touch up at all... im head car painter in one of the busiest shop in the naki, piece of piss really... hardest part is taking off the old paint because i really cant be arsed, probly seal it down with some feather fill/spray bog...
  15. scrap the lambo colour, going this colour now. easier as its a stock colour so when i ding it doing skids i can paint her up easier lol, plus its a FTW colour http://img333.imageshack.us/img333/4355 ... rry0cj.jpg comments very welcome, god knows i need some
  16. seeing as all the fab/body work is finished on the bum of my 626 now. me and my neighbour have been discussing (read: being convinced lol) cuting the rear guards off and the door skins, adding 100mm of steel and sticthing it back on. im kinda keen, but also know its going to take a bit, and would rather get on with axle swap... but then i have just been offered a 5stud hilux lsd complete from drum to drum for $400. So shortening the diff proberbly wouldnt need to happen, am i right? descisions descisons.... the neighbour is actually the dude who did steve soles 100mm pump on his new toyota when he was working for dwayne lilly at bell block panel beaters here in NP, so experience isnt an issue. thoughts?
  17. rough fit up of the lights today, few more tweaks and some more bog, then it should be ready to roll into work for its long awaited birthday pressie... motivation, its grand isnt it Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  18. soooo.... lights turn up, ones cracked and one chrome ring is dented... worst of all is they were all orange indicators so wizzed them to work, resined up the crack, flushed them off, chose the worst two, and dyed them red, (dye is like a basecoat version of candy, candy being two pack) and clear coated them all out... result being a set of bling as rx2 tails! not long now http://img87.imageshack.us/i/53041040.jpg just gota massage the ding out of the ring, autosol the fuckers up, and booya hopefully more pics after this weekend
  19. previous owner had an idea to cut out the tail light housing thingys (where the lights bolt to the car) to retro fit a smaller set of lights in an attempt to further shave the ass end.... in return it looked shit. So ive been on a quest to rectify this. Bit the bullet, cut the whole lot out, folded up some panels that match the genuine light shape, and have welded them in solid... Just needs a bit of poo to smooth it out a bit, wait for my twin round RX2 lights to turn up and voila! should look different imo... Uploaded with ImageShack.us sorry for crap pics any thoughts?, bear in mind that its not yet finished. also if any one is intrested, both sets of lights are on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =355314236
  20. front brake caliper limits to size on rim choice have gone off the lenzo's a bit now, will just have to see what will work once ive ironed out some creases
  21. someone please inject some motivation into me.
