  1. Gave Connie a good polish yesterday, spend about 6 hours on her, cleaning inside and out. Here is a few pictures!
  2. Right, got around to doing the headliner. Bought 2.5m of black vinyl and Ados F3 adhesive, so far so good.
  3. Excellent! I'll send you a PM in the next day or two. Cheers.
  4. Hi lads, I want to clean up the outside of my van and bring the paint work back to life. Is there anyone in the Wellington region that will give me a loan of a buffer/polisher for a day or two. Box of drink or a bottle of Jameson or money. Let me know. Thanks, David. 0211861099.
  5. I could pick it up during lunch time, I work out in Petone and live in Wellington City. I won't be going to the Swap Meat. David - 0211861099
  6. Right so! Finally got around to taking a few photos and writing a description. I failed the W.O.F. for rust on the right front pillar, the pillar with the aerial and the top hinge of the driver's door. The mechanic fixed it all and came out well. Replaced the worn idler bush with a brand new one. A real noticable difference in the handling. He adjusted and cleaned the handbrake. Adjusted rear brakes, replaced rack boots. Replaced all the spark plugs, did an engine flush, engine oil change, replaced oil filter, replaced rocket cover gasket and fuel filter carb. Replaced points, condenser and dist rotor. Steamed clean engine bay. For the back of the van he had to order a rear seat lock from Japan. For the back floor, the surface rust was treated and resprayed. Where the mounting holes were for the rear seat rust was showing up so the rust was cut out and steel plates were welded and painted. I decided to go with carpet underlay and industrial carpet fot the front and back, came out very nice and makes the inside look very clean. The two metal strips at the sliding doors were in bits so he made up metal angle strips and put one at the rear so to hold down the carpet. Must get rubber mats at the weekend to keep the carpet clean. Got the rear bullbar handles removed. The van is 100% better after the full service and with the underlay and carpet in the noice in the van and decreased. Starts first pop, handles like a race car and sounds lovely! 7. Installed two into the front doors, Panasonic 6". Nice even sound in the van.
  8. if anyone is heading to pickapart soon can they have a quick look if there is any decent headliners from an hi-ace or a van like that. cheers.
  9. I'll upload a picture of the holes and try and get a picture of the underneath for ya.
  10. there was four threaded holes before but they are fucked now. no nuts welded on the bottom.
  11. Yea, they do go through all the way (the floor). There is something in the way (piping or small tank) but might be able to get a hand around to it.
  12. Need to secure the seat to the floor, there was 4 threaded holes but they are fecked now. Maybe tec screws or something?
