  1. my 626 coupe used to have a big eden tyres sticker down the side, back when simon owned it, do u know him?
  2. well car has been put back together for a while now, minus the interior. front wheels offset have been changed to +20 and are sitting real nice in front the car is on trademe, but only real reason its there is that i had a moment of cbf'd anymore, and it cost a shit load to list, so will just keep listing... am definatly open to offers if anyones interested, not that theres much lol but am keeping on keeping on with it, as it sits in my shed its not costing anything but my time... but within saying that i will be hitting a exspensie part of making it legal soon, and just like most of us, money is tight. any ideas what its going to cost to cert with all my mods? am told that because my adjustable lower arms dont have crush tubes that it maybe an issue? holla
  3. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/37161-wrcdat-rotary-datsun-1200/ love the colour scheme, cage looks good in contrast with colour
  4. i have the same problem on my 626, the s5 four pots are so meaty that i had to use 8ml spacers and modify the wheels and use flares to keep them tucked in the guards... if i were to do it differently i would modify stock struts instead of using series 5 gear... on a positive note, i get almost perpendicular lock when its turned full lock... it seems to be a problem on 626s, if you look at the kuffem 62 on trademe his tyres are very proud on the front too, and hes using 4pots too
  5. so after piecing it back together for a while i mananged to take it for a burn. god it was fun.. nabbed a few pics car is so close to cert its stupidly funny http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=545204236
  6. try BTS Taranaki (bearing, transmission specialists) hes an online trademe store, he can do all sorts of sprockets, pullies basically everything, and is uber cheap
  7. the colour is a new toyota colour called 'dark metal' the code is 1H3... has an oldschool look to it sorry i gave all my old stuff to anthony at olds cool autos as i had them on trademe for ages with no luck of selling them for cheaps i do have a spare '79 front... it does need some tlc, but is salvagable. also the grille and corner headlight bezels and indicator lenses... theyre becoming sortafter... i dig the series 2 front
  8. panels only sitting there in these pics, not gapped properly just yet
  9. for best results, prep, prime the area, sand the area, then seal, then paint. this is a guidline that we use at work following standox/glasurit restoration process. those sika sealants are good, but 3M have a bloody good sealer called "heavy drip check"... good stuff
  10. yeah man, looks sharp ae, i wanted a colour that was new but looked sorta old. looks real dark/black in the shade but has a nice greenish/blue tone in the sun without too much sparkle. way happier with it compared to the lambo colour i was interested in ages ago spent a little time tonite fitting stuff, but am giving myself a break untill the weekend stoked though
  11. such a huge milestone... painted the bloody thing today. looks amazing in person and you cant see shit in these pics. Was given some pretty flash clear for this, stoked as, i wasnt keen to fork out the $700 lol now this major part of the car is done i'll have copius amounts of enthusiasm to get the rest done. uber happy right now
  12. paint has been ordered, (not cheap) car has been DA'd, ready for final sand hopefully tomorrow if time permits. wont be long for a decent update in true colour
