saw this at the show today...looked more awsome in the flesh than photo's make out

well got the starter sorted was corosion on the positive solenoid lug so got the car all back togeather and going drove put into drive and noticed it missing slightly got 100m up the road and it stalled and won't start again just cranks....also noticed excessive white steam out exhaust so i give up tonight lol i'll push it home tomorow and have another look at it...anyone want a merc?

it sparks from the main positive cable that bolts to the solenoid, arcing onto the body of the starter, and no it doesn't crank one spark then nothing

all conections are tight and in the correct place i'm starting to think corosion inside the solonoid sound like a possibility?

so, installed second hand starter in my old ladys 87 merc 300e hooked it all up sweet as went to turn the key and i'm getting a great big spark off the main positive cable and no starting?!?!?! any ideas guys? never come across this b4 mayb something glaringly obvios and i've failed but i can't see anything i've installed wrong

depending on how much u want to spend there are a couple options. first would be new shocks and cobra springs...these don't lower the car much/at all tho. you could get the cobra's compressed as well but you would need to shorten shocks, as factory springs are bairly captive lol. or you can change to s13 hubs on the front and run s13 coilovers all round

so have we got any more info if it is on or not?

mean what time do u need to be down there for racing and whats the requirements and costs ect

nice. mine had compressed springs in it when i got it...the owner had them compressed when it was on 18's to be about 100mm off the ground...now it's on 17's it's lower again lol looks nice tho. will be doing the exhaust properley, atm it has the rear 2 mufflers removed and dumping behind the rear wheels in tru v8 style lol

ucf10 ls400 it's a mean cruiser....gonna get it repainted some time this year after i get the dings removed. looking at painting it black with a blue pearl and chromeing the wheels for the xtra gangsta look lol. but it's about 20mm 2 low to be practicle for daily duties(or ltsa wof's) so i've picked up another car which i'm gonna tidy up and use for daily duty's...pics up soon

hmm been a slack bastard lately, due to not having a licence or a job, fixed the job bit tho, so progress mite start again slowly. anyway, thought i mite as well show u some pics of my pimp cruiser....just so my thread doesn't fall off the radar lol. so here she is. lexus ls400 1uzfe lowered approx 60mm all round (is slightly lower than legaly allowed lol) 17x8 and 17x9 rims on 235/45 and 255/40 bridgestone potenza's and thats about it lol

hey man the car looks awsum. have u have a look at your coils yet? my mate just went through a smilar problem with his soarer...all 6 coils cracked...5500 for a new set from toyota. $250 ea cost price from auto sparky. so he came up with a much cheaper solution coverting it to waste spark useing evo coils...works mint if u want more details giv me a pm

small update. got caught driving while disqualified, lost my job... another 6 months without a licence... so i bought another complete l20et just to get the bitch running again....and it does...on 4 cylinders :S gotta do some diagnosis this week see whats up. also bought another r30, manual l20et...running on 5 cylinders, with spare fucked motor with kelford reground cam inside, mint interior, and a massive list of wof issues shouldn't b 2 hard to get it back on the road again tho. will swap interior into my other r30, strip as much shit out of it as possible, build fairly grunty l20et, adjusties, cage, go drifting anyway here's a few pics of the engine swap and the new r30 new hr30 + mates fairly mint manual r31 another one of my mates r31 and frontal of the new r30 next to mates r31 ready to be pulled out engine bay of new r30

hmm better update this first things first....new springs!!!! these are the old springs from orions dr30 coupe also got me an engine...l28 plan is rebuild l28, port head out slightly, buy big turbo, get aftermarket ecu ect ect aim is 300rwhp will update as things happen

you need an r32 steering rack as well for longer tie rods
