wasnt gona bare metal the car but was told to take the paint right back where the rust is for the panel beaters so i dunno

basicly preparing the wagon to goto the rust fixup shop and im keen to do as much of the work as i can. havent got in contact with any places yet and its sunday so most are closed so was keen to know bout how much paint to take off round the rust? or if im just wasting my time all together also. anyways pic of how much ive taken off so far. is it enuf or more or what? what does it do? remove all oil/grease?

so adapters are for any car with the matching weber manifold correct? this is a interesting topic for me as im going to be super charging a 5k once i get my hands on one and a setup like this would be much better then blow thru or suck thru carbs i would imagine.

would make sence solid fuel lines thru the car and flexible braideds in the boot and engine bay for show job done.

no i cant do it my self, ive never resprayed anythin in my life. so im lookin at bout $1000 for top coats inc labour. sweet i can do the primer/filling and so on my self its just the final color and labour id be paying for.

the other thing im curious bout is is some one able to give me a rough as estimate on what it would cost to get top coats done, i aint lookin for anything flash atm just a full respray in the cars original color, might be a bit far out for an answer but if any one else has had something similar done be appreciated to know the cost involved.

yeh its straight as never been dinged paints lightly cracking but its only top layer from what i can tell but im no panel beater or paint shop person but looks as tho a sand would make it disappear. once i get a sander on it i guess ill know how far i have to go. also are you best of to re-primer the whole car after sanding back/fixing cancer or just primer cancer replaced bits and sand and respray?

ive read a bit of this but there is so much to read. basicly what i wanna know is wether i should bare metal my wagon or not as it has the original paint on it and is straight as exept for the few parts where it has some cancer which is mostly just the sills and 2 spots round the back windows. by the looks of what ive read its not worth it i might as well just sand the "shine" of the original paint obviosly take it right back round the cancer, weld in, bog whats needed to make it smooth and then prime it. sound bout right?

oh true didnt know they made smaller homologated versions be pwn as if it was a 2.1L KKK turbo. sounds like driveshaft will suit me fine just needa stick the right spline on it and possibly shorten it and all good. dont plan to make a hell of alot of hp with the wagon just enuf to have some fun with.
