LOL! You put on two nuts and then undo the bottom one, as it presses against the top one it will start undoing the threaded bolt from the pulley. Yeah i know, some form covers more than one. I have a speshul tool made for removing studs ands its awesome.

they would have changed it to front sump using the 1jzge sump that was in the car already. I hope...

I dunno if you have this manual but here's what I've got. Looks like you use some form of stud extractor to remove two opposing studs, Then use a puller to remove it from the shaft. Pics:

Dug this thread up, project was revived a bit recently. done a reshell to an MX83 Cressida, NZ new. So similar but then again so many differences. Benefit is: G series Diff as opposed to smaller F series. Better fuel pump availability of parts General low key ness. Pics o plenty Some wheel variations Wiring makes sense now (ish)

Replace the plugs with new ones? Found this helped my Hilux time a billion in terms of smoothness and longevity of plugs. Needed less Choke when cold so doesnt tend to foul up.
