  1. From what little i know, you just have to make sure the throttle spindle and float bowl seal well. Then run a line to the float bowl vent. SU's are pretty well sealed anyways and fairly easy to use for blow through. On webers and holleys they usually just slam the whole carb in an airtight container. The MG Maestro turbo had SU carbs from the factory and i believe it was a blow through setup...could be wrong tho. Found this tuning guide when messing around with researching carbs; http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/inde ... tid=159683 Might help you?
  2. Usually bout 6pm everyones thurr. I shall not be attending due to now being a part of the whakatane massive. Will miss those wonderful starry nights with mr bills.
  3. I thought the faster opening times were a product of peak and hold control method. So wouldnt apply since this ECU doesnt use that. Slam in the right injectors and make it work good. My Cynos ran like arse with wrong injectors in it. Resistor packs are too much fucking around if the correct injectors are available. Also things like deadtime and pulse width are likely to be closer to the right values with the high impedance injectors compared to the low impedance ones with a resistor.
  4. Hmm...yeah id give that a go. Need 2 narrowband sensors anyways - one for each bank. But borrowing that wideband would let me sort out my startup enrichment
  5. Gearbox has about 6 months left in it. LAWL Link runs meeeeeeeeeeeean. Goes harder and drives a shitload nicer. Just uses metric bucketloads of fuel. Actually i tell a lie, under load its no worse than the old ECU - its just that light throttle open road cruising where it drinks more than it should. Time to install some oxygen sensors and activate closed loop lambda
  6. Call Strong in Auckland, ask for Gerald and tell him you are a ClubSUB member. Cheapest in the country and hes gauranteed to have one.
  7. Slightly different mounting locations between the BP and BH and different length/ratcheting between the BG and BH
  8. Not interchangeable sadly. BH and BP ones arent either. Possibly the only part on the car that wont swap
  9. Oh how i lol'd. Is it a 2003-2006 shape one or a 1998-2003 shape one? If its the older model - ill possibly have bits here for it.
  10. Wookies the chap with the SVX no? If youve already bought em - could have em shipped up this weekend.
  11. And you cant cut the tab without mincing the brake line. So you undo the line, buy some spring compressors and some brake fluid. Then with all the time you saved by not being in hosptial - give handjobs in public restrooms to recoup costs. Its a win-win really
  12. I cant figure out if your joking or not. Seriously. Im a dodgy cunt occasionally but this thread has far surpassed my tolerance for risking safety to save a dollar.
  13. Whakatane is only a 2 hour drive, I dont mind whacking it on a pallet. I also dont mind carting it up with my massive pile of shit this weekend. Your choice. Either way will pm contact details.
  14. I slammed my weber onto my 2.2L EJ22 from a 2L pinto and just changed the jets up a size. Worked mint. In fact i went too rich and now need to dial it back a smidge. Moral of the story is - just guess. With those jet specs from states guy, it should be close enough to run then you can worry about the rest later.
  15. I dont even know the difference.
  16. All of mine are in bits. I could probably make one more good one out of all my parts - but tbh your better going to the wrecker and buying one for $20 like i did.
  17. Complete motor with ancillaries or just a bare longblock? I should be able to stick it on a pallet for ya. Have a few of them lying around at work.
  18. DGAS is the synchronous opening one as i plan on using one choke for each cylinder. Ive heard you 'can' weld cast alloy with a mig if your a mad cunt, but tig seems to be a lot better/common. I currently have a pile of 32/36 crabs in my shed but would prefer to get a pair of DGAS models if im going to go to the expense of making new manifolds.
  19. This thread is relevant to my interests. Altho id like to use 2 DGAS webers.
  20. I can pick up and cart to Whakatane if that suits your purposes?
