  1. Most manufacturers keep it the same across their models. Subaru are the same '74 to '99. Of course the diff has to match the box.
  2. Had some PIAA blue ones in the Legacy when i got it. They were ultra shithouse. Would never buy a blue/12094855k bulb again. Good ol' yellowy is where its at. Currently have some hella bulbs fitted and they are tits
  3. Apologies for the intrusion here, but if you buy 20L at a time....where does it go? Does it leak out and end up all over the road/undercarriage?
  4. Was quite hilarious looking in the mirror at Taupo and seeing a GSR and your thing getting all out of shape through the infield. Then seeing you both through the windscreen whilst going backwards off the track.
  5. Sounds good, will knock some dollars off if the kit is going to an oldschooler
  6. More bodykit is needed and a lot more low. A lot. The only way these styles work is when people stick to the theme and go hard with it, or when they do subtle mods and keep it clean. The middle ground is where stuff looks gay and gets ridiculed and at the moment, thats where your car sits in my mind. You cant make a new style sitting in the middle, you can only do half assed versions of other peoples ideas. Im sure your car will get better but i'd keep that in mind before you set fire to any more panels.
  7. I was just gonna cut some grooves into my serpentine belt using a bread knife. Will that do?
  8. I like ABS because it means i can drive more ham footed. Every pedal is either full on or full off.
  9. Looking at the space available, i might have to go with the SC14 due to length restrictions. Unless i completely relocate the ABS pump but really cbf doing that
  10. That cant be right? M90 is bigger than a SC14 which is bigger than a SC12 right? Either way, 8psi isnt asking a lot. Another contender would be the IHI charger off those 3.2L mercs
  11. The common M90 doesnt seem to have a clutch. Im only going to be running up to 8psi from it and mounting space is at a premium since its going on a boxer. Would most likely be mounted where the ABS pump/airbox currently is (over on the drivers side). Or i guess i could spring for a new manifold and mount it a-la commodore v6, but then i wouldnt get the equivalent of T-VIS that i currently have. CR is a factory 10.7:1. Bit high but should be do-able right? Its a piss poor breathing engine and thus will never exceed 6500rpm.
  12. Have done all the calculations and looked at flow maps. The clever money says go with the Eatons, the convenience factor squarely points to the SC14. Just looking to the OS camp for experience with either of these units. The magnetic clutch on the SC14 is a big attraction for me as i only want more power under full throttle. Would be pushing approx 280-300bhp on a 3liter. Intercooled if neccessary.
  13. Engine and gearbox for sale on Trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =401058794 Other bits on the car are also for sale. Will be keeping the shell unless someone pays for it. I wont scrap it. Plan is to sell the running gear to fund rust repairs - then put in a rear subframe and EFI tank. Basically starting again - but at least now i know what works and what doesnt.
  14. 2.09 lap just dicking around. If id put some decent brake pads in and tried a bit harder - couldve knocked a few seconds off. But considering i was just out there to have a bit of fun - it was so easy to drive and still comfortable with slide on at 130. clKj9XPFN4U
  15. To expand on previous post. The handling in this thing is SHIT!!! Needs some serious work. Maybe im just too used to throwing a big heavy wagon around - but it just did not impress on Fridays track day. Heres the issues; * On any kind of lift off during turn-in, it spins * Putting any power down on corner exit results in wheelspin * Have to coast through right hand corners due to all the fuel running away from the jets in the float bowl * Not quick enough in the straights to make up for misgivings in the corners Now that ive finished sulking ive started giving thoughts on how to fix these problems. Very tempted to just rip the whole car to pieces and do what i shouldve done the first time. Put a rear subframe in it (requires a new fuel tank), run a AWD gearbox (requires widening the tunnel) and put fuel injection turbo on the 2.2. Penny for your thoughts?
  16. Fuck this car. For sale, in parts or whole.
  17. Link, custom headers, dirty old IHI turbo. Done Cheap? Think again.
  18. If you fitted some huuuge sidewalled hoosiers on the back and a big scoop on the bonnet to cover your rootes blower - then id have no problem with it.
  19. Thought of manual trump getting unsettled on a wet roundabout makes my loins fizz
  20. Needs more chromed tridens. That shit hasnt been done enough yet.
  21. H6 is completely different to the 4 cylinders. On the 4 bangers you just install a relay on the neutral switch and your good to go.
  22. Ill make sure he doesnt eat them or swap them for dirty hookers
