  8. back on her wheels for the 1st time since Jan 2015 well thats it till next year now boys and girls..........thanks for watching
  9. i put the front back together so i can make it a roller again. thought it might be time to see if a bonnet fits as well. what 6 cylinder turbo!! fuck me it fits and the bonnet is perfect just as it is and matches the passenger side gaurd and the front back on the ground
  10. About fucking time to be honest....... Now go and drop the pinto in the van
  11. Sump cut and welded. Shit photos but clears nicely. Will just have to move the oil pick up over a wee bit with a hammer
  12. The brace I made to hold the motor in 1 place worked very well And the new cross member works well and uses all of the shelf Toyota mounts. Also a plus to see everything else fits back on. I bolted a set of leave spring back in and mounted the difg and it 2 fits....just need some long u blots now so I can make the blocks once its all back together. Slapped a 10" wide steelie on but it wouldnd clear the calipers but I think with the right size offset I will be able to get a 10" under the rear gaudes.
  13. Then it has to be a sensor fail ay
  14. So your 100% sure the ecu and crank sensor are fine. Then it has to be something simple that your over looking. I know probably not helping ay.. Maybe try unplugging everything and then going threw it all and plugging it all back in ....you might stumble across something..
  15. Have you tryed asking the guys on bimmersport for some input.... Its the most fucked up thing in the world that you can put it all together......have it running ....do something so minor ....and now it won't start.
  16. I've had problems in the past with conversation not starting for Bad earths straps ,no earths. Power supply not thick enough. Dead relays. Fucked sensor. I fully understand wanting to keep things factory but the last 2 conversations I've bought older style link ecus of trade me and wired them in.
  17. Hi mate Might pay to check all sensors...again. The reason I say this is a wee bit of a story that gives like this. Karl had a 525i .....fucked the motor had another running 525i swapped the block in so he keep all the manifolds and everything from the fucked motor in place and just slotted in a running long block. Would turn over and never start....this went in for a year or so...everyone had a go at it... Had it in my garage for a week and had a mate put all the diagnostic tools on it and couldn't find anything.. Changed all relays and fuses in the car ....testest the fuel pump and setup over and over again..I then killed my self . Karl then sold the 525i to Bart...... Bart fucked around with it for agers and he got it started..(patients of a saint that man.) Ended up being ...dun dun daaaaaaaaaa. The crank angle sensor was a wee bit to far away from the pick up..think he had to move it back in about 3mm . It then blow a head gasket.....but that's another yarn.
  18. Sooooooooooo I went into the garage today to make a start on the new cross member and engine mounts. Well it was nice to see the jig I made work as I removed the old cross member not even once did the engine fall on my face and kill me......it did drop all of 2mm so I'll be able to get that back with winding up the adjustment bolts I put in the jig. I tryed the new cross member in place but as I thought the sump was in the way . So I will have to cut and weld some of the sump. I removed the sump and bolted the cross member in place and as you can see its a wee bit close to the oil pick up but I think I can work around that. As for engine mounts ....some of you know there are NA ,turbo and SC versions of the 1G and they came in tons of different Toyotas......... So not only are there a few types of engine mounts there are also 2 post ions you can joint the joints to the motor. So with the cortina cross member in place and the alloy mounts I used on the last setup it looks like this. But by using another set of mounts and moving them to the forward mounting position ....this happened And I can still get the oil return in with a wee trim and if I use the factory mounts from the 1g I'm pretty sure it will all work nicly
  19. Yeah sorry man.....still can't see any
  20. Special tool #37 ..this little brace it what you need when you make your own crossmember to mount the engine and then make everything else of the position of the engine ........only to find out you fucked the crossmember up!!!! .so special tool #37 it there to hopefully keep the engine in place while you remove and make another crossmember and engine mounts. . And just because I know the fucking thing will drop at some point I made captive nuts and bolts that will allow me to lift it 2" . On a side note my cube racing shifter turned up....
  21. Nice... I love the e30..wouldn't mind another..
  22. No sorry mate and judging by the comments on the last page not many can see them....must be a problem with the host. As I've been able to see them up until yesterday. And I still can see everyone else's. Will keep an eye on it it may sort its self out.
