  1. I am trying to find some 14/15" rims for the fiat but it has a stupid 4x98mm pattern. The offset of the standard 5x13 rims is 27mm, and I have found this awesome wee calculator; http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp Now obviously the best selection of rims for me will be found with a FWD offset 4x100 jappa rim, so what are the legalities of using wheel spacers? The older Fiats all have a 5mm spacer anyway, and use studs rather than nuts so actually sorting some bolt up ones with studs shouldn't be too much of a drama, but i don't want to have to fuck around with certification etc.... Opinions? Opinions that do not include wobble bolts that is.
  2. Good to meet some more of you chaps, I am sorry now that I couldn't make the drive as well.... definitely will next one though. Dylan
  3. Just seen this, that sump is fucking art. I used to be able to tig like that......
  4. It needs 3.5 psi or thereabouts. Someone suggested running the efi pump into a swirl pot and running the facet from that so it doesn't have to work so hard.....but there is sod all room available for that sort of carry on. Where can I get one of the holley pumps from? Edit: three hundred and something dollars off TM...... hmmm, swirl pot is looking pretty good.
  5. So I have been having fuel issues with my X1/9 in that it runs out of fuel at about 7000 revs and cuts out, when in fact it should happily go up to 8k...It is currently running a facet solenoid type pump which is internally regulated to 3psi as far as I know, and this is feeding two 40mm webers. I have just bought a low pressure regulator and gauge off trademe for nix; And I have a bosch fuel pump which according to my research puts out 40 psi..... So the question is; can I run the 40psi pump through the regulator and not blow the diaphragm to bits?

  14. Tyres sweet thanks, although I am having engine mount and/or CV joint issues with the car so I may not be able to make the drive I think having tyres with actual sidewall rigidity has highlighted some other wrongnesses in there..... Just this minute changed the lower engine mount for a spare I have, but if that doesn't cure it I will have to dismantle the CV's and have a looksee if the problem is there. Will be unhappy if I miss the drive, I enjoyed the caning I gave it the last one.
  15. None of you fuckers has children then....
  16. There is a dude I know pretty well out at Marshlands road, he will do as good a job as you are prepared to pay for. ie cheap and cheerful if you want it. This will be right up his street, although he will spend as long telling you about his racing bikes as he will doing the job. Plus he has religion so you need to watch the mouth. Pm me if you want his details.
