  1. You would need a non ballast coil then just wire it in with the feed from your ignition and the pulse wire. It try buying/borrowing 4 2 wire coils from a wrecker, just make sure there all the same model. We're setting up a mates CA with coils out of 2 bluebirds, only cost $50 for all 4
  2. Yeah man thats the one i was thinking of
  3. Wish id known you were coming through gizzy, would have been mint to check out your Esky! That wasnt on the outskirts of Gisborne was it - right by a big roundabout?
  4. Try using a 3mm cable to the - terminal, i now you have said you had spark but after talking to the local tuner here and a couple of other places that do MTs you'd be surprised how much of a differance the earth point can make. Also try getting rid of that ballast resistor and using a jappa efi coil since you've now got a decent ignitor
  5. Iv had the battery in the boot of 2 of my cars (not inc Minis etc) with no problems at all, as long as you've got a good heavy duty + cable (I use 0 gauge) and good earth points (Iv got 2 2 gauge cables off my - terminal going to different spots) it shouldn't be due to where your battery is. Where are you taking you live power for the MicroTech from in you car, and where have you connected your earth lead?
  6. Montego would be all good, Cordia carb turbo set ups were suck through
  7. Capri's are wider than escorts but why would that affect you from putting in that style powered steering colum? That kit is full electric and still uses your factory rack

Your more than likely going to need heat -ie:gas torch, those studs will be well and truly baked in man, iv just had the same problem with my daily i solved it with an angle grinder

    LOWER? TORSION BARS

Il ask my old boss, he knows/knew of a place that do/did spindles for Vals

    LOWER? TORSION BARS

1970 should be VG, if your torsion bars are right down your cross member should be just about on the road already, using drop spindles is the better option than dropping the bars
  11. Im not 100% sure but i keep finding 5X5.5" pcd on google, from memory there the same pattern as early Falcons - XP/XM etc
  12. Very close at least, the 1/4 window covers most of the arch area - but i haven't had too much to do with 4 doors
  13. Would need to use a cable set up instead of the steel arms
  14. I think i know what your talking about, you want your windows to go down flush with the top of the door aye? Only thing that stopped the escorts doing it from factory is that the rear doors arnt long enough to fit the longer arm needed to let the window go that far down/come back up
  15. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 166173.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 366123.htm 3 piece, just need normal car tires
  16. They look cool with the skirts etc, just need to be lower Wonder how hard it would be to fit later model Subi 5 stud hubs like that last pic, then you'd be able to use bigger brakes.
  17. RS has more power at the flywheel than the GT, also have the strong closed deck block RS-RA or the rare RS-STi engine PLEASE don't! Clean and low FTW!
  18. Ok, they only sent me the Subaru diagrams with mine. The easiest way to test your injector pulse is to hook a test light up to 12v+ and check the injector pulse wires while cranking - they should be -neg switchedThe wirings a piece of piss to tidy, get it all wired up with all wires cut to length, loom them with tape and then use that split tube Iv got mine to look stock
  19. I dont know exactly how your wiring is done, but im thinking you ignition is going to be the weakest link in your set up- how have you set up your X4 while running the dizzy?
  20. Yeah that sounds well out! Ever thought of using the dizzy just as a CAS and running four coil packs?
  21. I love these old Leone's man, bit less odd/a lot more tasteful than the Vortex! Defiantly agree with lower on wide wheels, what engine are you planning on using - still thinking EJ20T?
  22. Toyota/alot of cars screens are glued in instead of having the old rubber seal like Imps/Escorts etc etc
  23. Choke cable works just as well, need to be very careful using a cable as if you get the wrong angle you will shatter the glass! (not just with choke cables - have seen pro glaziers crack screens)
  24. Are you running the MicroTech with a dizzy?
  25. 4G63T out of a VR4 would be mint!
