  1. yup^^ average considering the head gasket used cost quite a bit of money or he blew it then jipped be, i think its the latter. Wierd results though.....
  2. Compression was even so i disregarded timing aswell as being spot on when i pulled off the covers. Water i thought was due to headgasket, radiator pressure tester wouldn't grip onto my radiator cap so couldn't do test without buying a tester to suit. Signs of clouding in new oil and can see water marks slightly up dipstick, only shown after engine been running.
  3. Thats why im stumped eh, had mate around gave me a hand doing it. I got those dud compression results yesterday with my home made compression tester, assumed it wasn't sealing so grabbed another, same result. Have used this one in past and is trusted. Engine would start and fire but wouldn't run longer than 20 seconds or so, wasn't keen on reving past medium throttle, likely another issue altogether but worth noting. you can see the ring just down the side of the piston and notably hear piston moving side to side
  4. 75 psi across all 6 cylinders 100 when oil added I brought head/block a while back acl race rings, bearings etc. Engine appears to have non turbo pistons, not a major just means a bit more compression a bit less boost. Mint bores, fucked rings. Looked to be apart recently by head to block cleanliness aswell as the condition on triple layer steel headgasket. Also signs of water going into my oil on small amount of time i ran it, didn't get it hot. Can excess boost cause all rings to fuck out/any suggestions
  5. make up a bracket around threads so it holds better ?
  6. have you tried kiwi cams? last time i talked to them they seemed very reasonable on price compared to others
  7. did you happen to enquire about 9's as well? thats average news indeed
  8. The saga of the skyline continues, some how it made its way into project mode other things on the back burner. I built a 25de +t engine for it, got a custom alloy plenum made up which looked choice, engine has now changed hands. I turned it into this: The c110 has been on hold due to welding duties are needed which i have only purchased this week after a long time needing one at home. So.... its engine has been stolen, and placed into a more fitting home of the r32. The last week or so has been dominated by getting it up and running and sorting out things for new engine. Over the last 2 weeks i have removed and installed new engine. New loom, Extended a lot of it so everything runs unseen. New walbro fuel pump and wiring new radiator and and dual electric fans courtesy of honda integra, hope there up the task External wastegate fitted and screamer pipe made (manifold needed to be removed to swap wastegate flanges) Intercooler mounts, turbo intake flange and intercooler piping. Fuel pressure regulator fitting Injector problems were had where the apparent high flow items i had were just standard which wont do i so gave a go at high flowing them myself, results turned out mint, going to make a test bench up and check flow between these and standard for a bit of fun and to make sure there all even To do list: Fit power steering reservoir and sort of new piping. re paint bonnet weld in new front panel section and fit lights make ducting for intercooler to radiator try direct some more air in there cold air box for air filter Then to the dyno to get her tuned
  9. possibly an aircon clutch be used to engage and disengage drive. this is going to be awesome
  10. i feel bad, when i brought my 4 door c210 a year or so back there was a complete parts car there minus springs and a few windows, manual as well. .... If only i could have been bothered to go and get it
  11. haha the matt black warrior, she will live again!
  12. Yes you are looking at Morey's power booster
  13. It overheated again and now you have really fucked your head most likely. check thermostat operation block is straight radiator (might be possible to look down radiator filler and see blocked tubes) waterpump impeller fucked fan radiator cap may also be at fault
  14. That is the term uncaptive refers to the jacked position of vehicle. if springs were uncaptive on ground it would be sitting on bump stops/shock bottoming out which is real bad
  15. opposite neighbour bro haha i called into his shop yesterday, possibly hes still on holiday. Will try again monday
  16. i was sure c110's didn't have optional electric windows? thus car is most likely not what he thinks.
  17. I might be interested if i knew about such parts car details?
  18. is weird for an apparent rare car there is quite a few on os in the scheme of things
  19. Cheers have been having thoughts of doing that recently, will let me paint parcel tray better also. Motivation is coming back for it which is win. Apparently my next door neighbour knows a guy who has one i can have which is awesome the only problem is it has electric windows C110 club 2010
  20. make up a project thread bro so we can see what your up too
  21. if possible place a jack underneath balljoint to help. drilling a hole in the centre should also help if its easy to drill
  22. I think mine is the exception, non turbo stz here. Will get some oil tomorrow and go from there see if useage is feasible instead of fixing.
