  1. I have some T series engine mounts if you're keen. lol @ "back pressure" take your exhaust right off if you want to and an extra 0.5 hp
  2. god they sound sexy with extractors and exhaust. My mate had a worked one in a van de plaas. It did wicked skids
  3. Where abouts is that? Kellford quoted me $270 inc. for my fiat twin cam, which I thought was bloody cheap!
  4. thats mean as mate, would like nice on some of those cromodora iron cross rims. Look foward to seeing it cruising the shore check out my fiat powered lada in the projects thread also if you're keen mate!
  5. I thought I would post in this thread instead of making a new one.. anyways I am going to pull the head off my fiat twin cam soon, do cams etc.. whats the best way to polish the head (the outside, I will prob get a pro port and polish), 2000 grit then autosol? I also have a dremel, would this come in handy? sorry for the thread hijack
  6. tbh pies I dont mind it, and yeah it would be a dope parts hauler, and it does have potential etc etc. But that cressida was so hawt and a 10x nicer car tbh. I would be stoked if I was the cunt you swapped it with
  7. tbh it wouldn't take sweet FA to get a wof for it, however to get it looking nice is another story. It's fun to drive in a dumb kind of way though
  8. well actually he told me not to buy anymore cars.. and he wants his garage back $120 man can't go wrong
  9. oh and yes that is smoke coming out of the engine bay in the first pic.. just after I took the photo I realised the engine bay was on fire due to the battery terminals shorting out on the bonnet and setting the blanket thingy in there alight. I wondered why there was I plastic bag just sitting on top of the battery for no apparent reason.. now I know why
  10. went and picked her up today.. its pretty fucking ruff.. drove it back from royal oak to the shore, clutch slipping like a motherfucker, it was a bit of a mish but oh well. Anyway there is so much bog in it, so I'm not sure if it's worth trying to restore it to it's former glory.. would probably be easier to start with a nicer shell. also I'm guessing the head gasket is blown because it blows a fair bit of white smoke.. so I will look into that probably replace the gasket and skim the head, as I plan on holding onto the donk. Heres some pics: Good side bad side engine bay Err this is a some oil which is sitting round where the lead goes onto the spark plug, 2 more of them are like that. any of you mechanic type people have any idea where that would have come from? I have a feeling it might be a 125S too as it has woodgrain dash and leather seats, interior is pretty ruff tho. Not sure about the 5 speed box tho, as the gearbox is the sloppiest piece of crap ever, and it's kind of hard to tell what gear you are in, you just gotta wing it and hope for the best lol.
  11. Whilst on that note, if any one has any cool, period style rims in that stud pattern, let me know. because I'm as keen as a bean.
  12. yeah jasper is a bit of a ladies mancat tbh
  13. lol 10" rims would be funny.. I would be keen on some cromodora iron cross rims like this but apparently they are rare. We will see on saturday though! I just hope the shell is good, I cbf with rust restoration to be honest.
  14. Will let you know if I need any bits on saturday when I go to pick up the car man. Bad luck about the fire.! bummer you are in invercargill but
  15. $125 to be exact. mikuni I'm sure I will feel the urge to move on at some stage or other is your chevette all ridgey didge yet?
  16. lol thats ok. 55+ hours a week makes it almost bearable on pay day I guess there's a few old fiats floating around.. I hardly ever see or hear about them, nothing on trademe.. yeah im in auckland bro wouldnt have it any other way
  17. Just bought this for an insanely cheap price.. I'm not going to say because you wouldn't believe me anyway. Put it this way, I earn more than I bought it for in a day, and I only get paid $15 an hour. YOu do the maths. Anyways I haven't seen it yet, but it runs, and only has minor surface rust on the bonnet (according to the guy on the phone), but wether or not this is true is a different story.. however it can't be that bad as it had a wof 9 months ago, and is still in the system etc, so that's all good. Either way I'm not too phased, if it's too shit I will just rape it for parts for my lada. It's running a 1600 twin cam motor, so that will be good to see how it goes compared to the 1800 dohc in my lada. Pics to come. In the meantime here is a reference pic I found on wikipedia of fiat 125 goodness!
  18. bit of an update, motor is running, bloody well actually. It seems to have decent compression, havent put my tester across it yet, but the lada starter motor has a fair bit of trouble turning it over it seems. so I guess that is a good sign! pics to come soon, she should prowling the streets within the next couple of weeks, so some scenic photos might be in order.
  19. Got it off an old dude.He had it in his hill climb Avenger sedan, seems to track well, and the diffs centred. from the looks it would fucking simple to make anyway, like an hour on a lathe at the most... i wouldnt pay more than 100 at an engineers for them to make one Yeah that would be the go ! I wonder how much it would be to make an adjustable one.. would probably come in handy
  20. yeah I like it, a bit different to the norm and it pulls more pootang than you could shake a stick at
  21. The car itself is pretty new lol, the body press is from the 70 tho.. its an old school wannabe
  22. Yeah they are kind of like an old school 4age. I don't think the motor will stay in there for long tbh I just wanna get it cruising then I will probably rip it out and chuck on a fat carb(s), big rugged as fuck cams, port and polish etc, all the usual shennanigans.
  23. it's a bit jacked up imo also so that's going to change.
