  1. But genuinely as i said before i was thinking of taking my dr200 if its not considered outside of the spirit of the event 1980s farmbike is probably ok otherwise i got some other shitbikes
  2. PFFFFFTTTT GN250s have always been allowed and they are high capacity and highly capable
  3. needed to fill up on diesel you reckon man how to you carry more than a can or two on a bike? and then they are fizz bombs. not for me thanks im high on shit bikes
  4. smaller battery will probably save 10kg
  5. How goods sleeping in a sack and emerging with the sunrise like a dirt bag butterfly from its chrysalis to kick over an oily bike
  6. I have a spare running engine ready to bolt in, so I think I'm sorted this time
  7. Where we are going you don't need roads I mean bikes don't really need roads Smallbikesdoingamazingthings.co.nz I got knobs tho And some 1980s dirt bike attire
  8. Too bad, I'm dumping the bits I do t want at yours on the way home
  9. /you can't have any, all the Dr200 are mine I just want some bits for my 87, the other guys parting out bikes want more than a whole bike for the bits I want
  10. It means the oil pump was working/it had oil in it at least
  11. Don't be jelly of my empire of fucked suzukis I actually have some 90% bikes that Id like to get to 100% so I can sell for cash money So I bought 1.5 crashed gn250s and another dr200
  12. They do take a bit to warm up, same as the 125 and DR, i think its just a single suzuki thing, certainly they wont warm up on idle before riding off. Mine being an 82 never had a tach, so i just gave it as many revs as it would produce before not gaining any more speed. But i dont think it ever got to valve bouncing territory in 4th or 5th. if its doing that the clutch may be slipping. I rememeber taking the clutch steels out and lapping them with some sandpaper on glass and then adding a washer under the clutch pack springs on one of my engines that had been sitting a while, to get good grab out of it.
  13. sounds about right, my old one would do an indicated 115-120 on the auck-ham trip, even passed one or two cars
  14. I just hook up my big old South African charger at max amps and wait till it starts to boil while I'm working in the shed, as long as they don't go dry its "fine" lol
  15. It's only a couple extra hours to there than going direct to Ohope, so makes sense I guess
  16. Old old cars are easy because they have very few things they need to comply with
  17. Wants to remove rust Everyone says keep the vinyl roof lol
  18. Pretty close match on this vinyl. Will do the sides and the front number panel, no point in sticking anything to an old plastic tank Then I have some graphics to go on top, should be rad
  19. Could bring the dr250 for max big block/suffering It's nice to ride something where my knees aren't around my armpits tho, they are pretty bad now so I might need some braces to help standing on the pegs for the whole trip
  20. Almost time for 2021 thread? I might take my dr200, assuming that's in the spirit of ride? It's maybe too capable and has a huge 200cc engjne, but it is 36 years old I guess Probably will blow up on the way there anyways
