  1. With much thanks to the singlecAmer spammer im starting to get everything "correct" Seems accurate (or as accurate as the previous one), just required shortening of the mounting bracket and different connectors
  2. woops cause of falling off the road?
  3. teflon chain slider as fitted to motorcycles on a bracket which moves up and down this is why im hot
  4. So set some time aside to work on this again so far Engine, gearbox and front suspension are out - all of which are caked solid in hard crap engine bay is about 80% stripped, taking it right back because most of it has surface rust breaking through Small amount of rust in the battery box, probably wont fix it (had some steel pop rivited over) Will make up a wooden case job to sit in there as its a pretty big space for a battery. This will hide anything i dont want to see some pitting where the radiator overflow drips on. However i have uncovered an unhealthy patch of rust hiding under the drivers side engine mount. Will need a patch made. No big deal, just another item on the list List seems to be always getting bigger, but progress is progress right? (would have liked to be driving at the end of the week, could have done if i had just put the seats back in and filled up the tank oh well)
  5. I like how this has too much power for its own good Usually my stuff brakes just because its poked
  6. vacuum bleeder i have one made from a tyre valve glued though a mastercylinder cap im probably meaning to say pressure bleeder btw
  7. if it was actually 4.40pm then yes otherwise someone at work took it for a spin
  8. mastercylinder been out at all? otherwise, bleed, repeat, bleed, repeat wait a week, bleed again or or borrow/build a vacuum bleeder
  9. That pleases me Looks like its got original step covers too (iv only got one) Set up under tray is for a ramp? That is entirely what i need
  10. oh, balls been windy lately, so perhaps the ticket blew away. Will check it out
  11. ehh, was just a love tap noticed the old repair to the drivers wing is going south (30 years ago it got clipped by a passing trailer) so that can be added to the list Oh cam, haven't seen anything in the mail, just mentioning in case it went missing in the post. Otherwise no rush
  12. Awesome, used daily is the only way for these Commer - The hallmark of reliability
  13. Jumped in the truck this morning and attempted to start, turned over the first time and tried to catch. turned over a second time and the truck lurched slightly forward, so i killed power thinking somehow the gear had selected itself Then i notice a chap by my drivers door asking if i was ok, look in the mirror and here's his car nose deep under my deck By now hes panicking a bit, having seen the sight of me and the possibility of repairs to a vintage vehicle anyways, no damage to me, his bonnet slid under the two wooden deck rails that protude over my numberplate him - one of those impossible to pop out dents on the front lip of his bonnet keep on truckin
  14. people dont understand what arm signals are, so i usually resort to yelling just pass me you cunt

  17. havnt really had a good look at your exhaust, but pretty sure its a long centre branch - so is two piecees (the outside two and the middle one) may need to take them apart to get enough movement to get them out?
  18. awesome, a full year of nothing at all dammit, i really need to spend a day on this and go for a pootle. Side got scratched while my bike was being nicked, so needs a few touchups I have put sound deadening pretty much everywhere Turn it over on the crankhandle every so often (oh my starter motor works now) Cant wait to drive this after getting used to the truck, itl be a spaceship

  20. awesome, take it for a dodgy no brakes drive yet?
  21. Just popped around seems a fibre washer/spacer was omitted from the dizzy, possibly from the previous owner Distributor is distributing, spark isnt great but its there. Plugs are pretty foul and the points are way out (for logan to sort once he gets some feeler gauges, forgot to bring mine). Diddnt get a chance to check out the brake situation as he was busy off spewing his ring out with aids or soemthing
