  1. ^^^ Thats a cheap 3SGTE. Heres a complete 3TGTE conversion: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 925212.htm But yeah, how much power do you want? I've seen 3tgte's with 180-200KW in the past, and it would bolt straight to your engine mounts and box.
  2. Was mean. Do again with more people for sure!
  3. Sweet man saves me from possibility of getting lost in Wellington!
  4. Thats pretty fast from what I remember . I went real slow in their buggy with bald front tyres in the rain + spun. Hilarious with no sway bar btw.
  5. Oh yeah 0274444222 tell me where they are in Wel. I'll be in mount vic / at the hospital.
  6. I'm in wellington tomorrow afternoon and going to Hamilton on Saturday with Simon. Could do that for you if you want to chip in some gas? ... Provided they fit in the corona with 4 15's and 5 tyres ... Could always add a trailer.
  7. PPG please. http://www.ppgearbox.com.au/
  8. Sweet man, this is a bit different. You don't see many people that do NA SR conversions... I think they should be more common. Good car for some club sprints etc to get you into racing.
  9. Keen - Pending confirmation of work off Sat morning.
  10. Where does that go at the moment? It's hard to tell. Is the bend at the end the start of an over-diff setup?
  11. Pretty keen, should head that way and catch up with Grandparents and mates anyway. Could work out.
  12. Mine goes under the diff.I downsized from 3" to 2.5" in the weekend and it fits really well, all I run is 1 RPS turbo flow style muffler just before the diff, then a flange and stainless tail pipe that takes it where it needs to go from there. It does mean you will have less clearance under there but that shouldn't matter too much. How much muffler space is there under the floor?
  13. It's interesting seeing the different reactions between real racers and boy racers toward that time... boy racers = "1:28 is rel slow aye! My BF did a 1:15.2 in his Evo7 with 280KW atw" (He actually did a 1.18.5)... Where as anyone who knows the track and what it's like taking road cars out there respect that a 1:28 is fast for a heavy NA road slug. Do agree that it has a 26 in there with 4 semi slicks and a bit of playing + seat time. Looked sweet out there, and had fun giving you the enthusiastic green for superlap..
  14. Just look around and see what you find, I think 25P 7" wide would work fine and you shouldn't have to do more than fold up the lip under the arch. So long as your AE82 isn't stupidly low and you run a 195/50 or 195/45 it will be fine. Pretty sure AE82 ran 6 - 6.5" 35P's from factory, and the standard wheels have heaps of clearance to the guards. Just to reference AW11 again, this is a 17x7 40P Wheel on my old one. Photo was taken with 25mm spacers making it effectively 15p. As you can see they sat even with the guard, and that tyre is a 205/55/17 mini racing slick. 25P would be 10mm further in and would be on the button in a 15" wheel IMO.
  15. This will be pretty funny with those rims and heaps of MDF . If you want polystyrene go and talk to any powertool and machinery place. Find somewhere that does chinese bandsaws, drill presses, thicknesser/planers etc. These all come packaged in poly and it's a mission to get rid of. You are allowed to dump it but it costs a shitload, and they also have a flat dump rate for anything up to 1 tonne. I can't even imagine what a tonne of poly must look like. Pretty sure my boss has heaps in his shed at home, but thats in the Manawatu so no help.
  16. Had a trackday in the weekend, it was good fun. Track was dry but slippery, and the drifters didn't make it any easier. Pics: In car video: The car that hit me from behind was a friend in his Integra type R, we hadn't had a chance to "race" each other until now, and he had joked about the fact that he was going to "take my rear bumper"... Turns out he wasn't wrong! But thats racing, and we are friends so no hard feelings. It was a misunderstanding, he was going to go low and try to pass me but I defended and he couldn't stop in time. His car: Looked a lot worse just after he hit me, but we got it straightened out well, and fixed the radiator for more thrashing.
  17. Cool! Sounds like it's going to be fast. Will it still be able to run in classics?
  18. Holyfuck. Boomrock looks amazing: http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?hl=en&ie= ... 5&t=h&z=17 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVfICSnlYTQ Looks like they are more into scaring the pants of Rich wedding goers and staff members though... Bet it would be a mega stretch to get any track time in own cars etc. The track looks awesome though... Pretty much my dream house / life. I'd also be really keen for forgotten world. Or to make an Epic weekend, Forgotton world, then back down SH1 to Taihape, over Gentle Annie and off to drink piss at Lee's place. May need emergency tents.
  19. Good to see you made a post man! Was pretty interested to see it after you came into work the other day. Would love to see one for the other 3 as well. Piazza looks Amazing, chevette sounds like a cool project and the Prem is Tidy as well. See you at the track .
  20. So you must have got a decent deal on it considering?
  21. Good to see another one. Looking forward to seeing where you take it.
  22. I'd own it. It suits you though cam ....
  23. This is really confusing! Obviously there would be no point in running a Keeper spring to keep the coils captive, because you could compensate for that by lifting the perch up a bit (keeper springs would have the same effect). So it's a shorter shock, a 50mm shorter spring and the perch is 30mm higher than where it was with the 300mm springs? Which means it should be around 20mm lower then it was before... but isn't. Are the springs seating at the top properly? Only thing that I can think of is that the spring is fouling up on something when you lower the car, due to the spring not being captive. So they could be off on an angle and holding the body up somehow.... Although then you wouldn't expect it to drive right. hmm...
  24. Hey jase, you have your clubsport license eh? Keen for a Dual car run on the weekend?
  25. Hushee place? Sounds Low Key.
