  1. yeah, makes a massive difference! had a handheld guage/deflator thing which was good but takes 8 years per tyre... wanted a set of these to try out and figured would bring a few in to flick off at the same time to offset the price:)
  2. in related news, I have just had a handful of tyre deflators turn up... These things here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... 57&ed=true If any OS Boes want a set I will do them for $30 plus freight
  3. Wait! I know you... did you get the truck sorted after the weekend's shennanigans? (Del Fuego from ORE/ D/cab navara from the pig farm lol) Oh, wow. Small world! Nah, had to get it towed home, and haven't had a look yet. Engine bay was full of mud, but it's a bit cleaner now. I'll try see what the problem is tomorrow, and probably get a new accelerator cable soon... The lawn at home is more like a swamp now You assessed the damage to the various body panels yet? Yeah, panel damage is minimal/will get a new rear door if I see one floating around just for when it is sale time perhaps. more urgent problem is the water escaping from the front of the water pump, looks (I'm guessing) like it has blown a seal which is odd as it didn't get hot till I got to the gas station to air up the tyres... gah. I think I need a dedicated off roader, maintaining this one as my daily and hammering it off road may be expensive and disruptive to my life... need a cheapie trailer/dolly queen I think. and I know you have seen this already but for the others... another vid from sunday 51S2swRYW74
  4. Wait! I know you... did you get the truck sorted after the weekend's shennanigans? (Del Fuego from ORE/ D/cab navara from the pig farm lol)
  5. I just like the fact that it is central and price seems pretty right? OS Warehouse/Shed co-operative... cheap to purchase if we go 3rds/4ths in it? decided I need to build a dedicated 4x4... too many things to spend money on/need place to do it lol
  6. Right here buddy/pal/friend http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =386181828 I may look into purchasing... and keeping as is/chuck in some facilities to make for more pimping w/shop... perhaps a pisser and basin lol... would probably work out for even a bit less than they are asking for the rent but is maybe a bit pie in the sky right now... should check it isn't about to fall down
  7. yeah, I don't need a full 50 but at that price... assuming it works/is what it says etc it could make sense, and is cheap enough to cover with 3... if more want in or whatever that could be just a bonus? tempted to buy it... needs a bog tbh lol.
  8. in that case the price range of Marua road one makes the most sense and it is next to a workshop so presumably they don't give a fuck what is in there lol. In saying that they are only asking for $200k to buy the place haha
  9. Initial impressions... Marua road one sounds pretty mint and mega good price, Onehunga would be pretty mint too depending on what they want for it. Looks like overall price needs to be under 13grand p/a for it to work out when you include the gst (assuming it has to be included? I am noob at this stuff) will keep an eye out but those sorts of areas are perfect for me, a bit west of central would be ok too but not "as" ideal lol.
  10. i seem to have purchased a bullbar for my ute... it is in thames.. I can cruise down and collect it but it would be easier if there was someone local who could grab it and throw it in the garden for a week or two until I'm in the area or if someone is heading to Auckland that would be even better lol. No drama if not but figured it was worth asking
  11. if other boes fall over I work in mt eden (eden tce) so can always pick up/ he can drop here, storage no problem... try and avoid the tron though lol. anyway sounds like plenty of options.
  12. Wait, what... why? you want it to be even slower? fair enough I guess... but yeah it should fit I guess... as per the goose of bubbles suggestion
  13. someone should install in the lux whilst im sleeping as a xmas present... problem being I don't really get why all the notching etc (i get why... just not "why") i.e. "hae here is useful device for moving heapa stuffs... delete carrying capacity with silly framing/tanks/shocks/ other junk... AKA static drop with no notch for me I guess/n00b=me
  14. just wondering if it would be a good idea to hold this on labour monday which is the following monday (25th) just an idea
  15. indeed, the bare metal bits will be left to the surface rust... and potentially some stencil stuff... not 100% on that yet though.
  16. Well, paint is on, ute is back together... pics: Swap some wheels about and off to try for a wof tomorrow, fingers crossed
  17. too many pics per post... so here is cab with paint and tray on but sans paint And please explain why noone has dug up some 2" lowering blocks and bolts for me yet... do you like this 4wd spec business? lol aka wtb... 2" blocks to suit, with bolts... cheapish
  18. Ok, update time... not too many words... some pics... sweet... primer filler... top coat... tray back on... not yet painted.
  19. Here's some pictures of bog... enjoy lol
  20. I only barely fit in it now! haha but thankfully the sills seem solid Rust is all farm spec... doors full of mud, vents full of leaves etc... rust in tops of the thing... um... under where the guards go? explains why there was lots of water coming in haha
  21. Then I started poking, prodding, grinding and generally making a nuisance of myself Then I started patching... but that is an update for another day
  22. Ok so I was planning on just picking this bad boy up, driving it... um yeah that's pretty much it... However when I got it home it seemed to leak water into the cab from multiple locations... which was a bit odd... so I thought sweet dismantle, track leaks.... plug... drive. I wish, leaks were from a few holes around the place and by the time I had ground them all back the cab looked a bit swiss cheezy. now before I get told off the most likely outcome is that this will just get recabbed when I track one down/can afford the cash and time to do it and have it off the road so the repairs are less than ideal. However seeing as the chassis is 100% solid as a rock I am not super concerned that the hole in the drivers footwell is now made of corvette... Anyway... plan is loosely a bit of a battle truck so it will feature mattybee with accents of ferrous oxide along with, for some EICM (Euro Import Cheese Market) flavour I am seriously contemplating orange wheels... not 100% which way this will work yet... orange steels with hubcaps (assuming I can find some) or black centres and orange dish on the aftermarket wheels or something in between. either way will be worrying about that after it is painted and re-warranted. along that line... does anyone have a spare windscreen laying about for one of these? Ok... pics.. spread over a few posts for ease of something? Pre me fucking with it:
