been working far too much lately, but finally got around to polishing and painting the rest of the rims didn't expect them to come up this well when i first got them hoping to have them on the datsun by the end of next week also thinking about getting some bullet centre caps for them

start buy checking voltage at lights my money would be on a bad earth clean and reconnect earth cable/add second earth

i would turn it over with plugs out to get oil preasure up before starting it you can run a hose to the lower water outlet till it runs clear out the top to clear crap out of water gallaries could be worth checking timing just to be safe

centers are textured so would take massive amounts of sanding to make them smooth just painted one in gun metal gray and my gosh its bad ass looking

gun metal gray test wheel looks the business, rest of the set will follow its lead

OK so modgies were never going to cut it picked up some enkei rims today 14x6 +10 offset looking a bit sorry when i picked them up gave it a once over with a wire brush (ok wire wheel in the drill to save time) quick sand then polish and they come up looking alright. plan it to paint the centers gun metal gray and get some tires in the new year.

relayed off charge light then - if charge light is off pump is on? about the same as running it off oil pressure switch.

add a second spring and call it a day could be dirt/oil in the linkages, give them a blast of degreaser and see if it helps

new WOF was nothing major to do new steering idler bush and adjust the rear brakes all back on the road and cranking on pictures later if i can be bothered

ok long time no update have been using it as a daily for the last few months fixed Vacuum operated trunk release the other day- works quite well now will grab some new pics and do a proper update when things change more

the front shocks were toast, so i managed to find some suitable replacements for a great price. holey crap it drives so much nicer. huge reduction in body roll and boat like handling.

so alternator died the other night and took the regulator with it so after much searching on the net and some measuring, ended up swapping on an r33 skyline unit mounts line up and with a little time on the lathe the Datsun pulley fits the new alternator i little wirering later and its all ready to rock oh and did some other stuff as well will get some better pics some time soon

have lowering blocks just need some u bolts now and damn it nothings open

have to arrange time to sort rims and rear lowering, hopefully next weekend.

had snells compress springs 45mm, ends up about 75mm drop at the wheel. have 50mm of travel before bumps after a once over. rides nice, not bouncy at all.

springs in and im happy as a fat kid in a candy store
