  1. Those numbers are on most jap injectors Jecs is the brand I think. You need the number stamped into the top. I need to know some cc ratings of some R31 skyline injectors I have also.
  2. LSD's were only optional on the non turbo's DOHC or SOHC and the turbo's had a differant diff setup I think.
  3. First carb I used I made dry air seals so it leaked clean air not air fuel mix. Latter on I put an un modded one on and it was fine aswell.
  4. A stock 32/36 off a Escort or Cortina will handle the boost fine with a few minor mods. I modifyed the secodaries on my Gemini years ago cant remember exactly what I did it involved welding a lug on to operate the second throat and removing all the vacume bits like the actuator ect. I used a holly fuel pressure reg a pump from a 13bt Mazda luce and the webber carb for my setup was all good once I sorted all the teething probs. Should probably upgrade any rubber fuel hoses aswell seen as there will be more pressure. As for the floats make sure they are plastic ones not brass the brass ones arnt as strong.
  5. As said allready there are a few that bolt straight in I think the best would be the carbied G200z 2.0L Rodeo engine nothing to change at all to bolt one in. I have an injected Piazza 2.0L in one of my Geminis which took less than a day to fit and wire up the ECU so its not that much harder than a carbied engine I dont think.
  6. I had to weld a bit of pipe onto one once was on the turbine exit flange of the turbo and the thead was snaped off. I have also had to do that to a CV the nut was so tight even a rattle gun or cold chisle did'nt work.
  7. Modifiy the carb secodaries to mechanical and seal up anywhere where boost can leak out and it should be fine. I would just put a webber on they work well with boost you can buy adapter plates for 2 barrell niki's to weber quite easily. With blow thru you will need a decent pump and boost referanced regulator aswell. As for not useing to much fuel it will drink it mine did was horrid.
  8. Whats the stock compression ratio that will count when it comes to how much boost you can run and how long it will last. The stock carb will probably have vacume secondaries which wont work under boost so all that will need to be modified. May need the jets changed may not though I ran 1600cc N/A jets in my 1600 turbo and it was ok. Other than that its just fitting it all up really that can be a pain.
  9. Ditch the resister and relay when I put the injected Piazza engine in my Gemini I used the coil from the donor car and bypassed the resistor and relay and it all works fine.
  10. The problem with getting them under the rim is because the axle flange is 155mm all the disks I found that would fit over the flange were 270mm and up. 270mm plus the caliper is say about 310mm that might fit under a steel 13" just not an alloy rim.
  11. Yeah forgot to mention when I was looking at it because of the size of the Hilux flange there were'nt any disks that I could find that would even fit under 14" alloys you might get 14" steele's over the EB disks.
  12. I have used EB Falcon they fit awsome the offset is perfect and caliper mounts can be made to bolt on with the axle and the Falcon dust cover can be used aswell.
  13. That pic is not of a Falcon Borgwarner not sure what it is. I have never heard of people haveing major problems with Borgwarner lsd's except for axles breaking do the Hilux you will have trouble breaking those axles
  14. You can weld them up and they do check alsorts when you go for a cert. They will definatly take the wheels off to have a look at caliper mount ect if the diff has been converted to disks.
  15. Yeah a six stud 4WD one would weigh more for sure if you get the right 2WD one it might not need shortening 1425mm flange to flange from memory.
  16. 80kgs is what a complete 2WD lsd weighs with disk conversion aswell I doubt drums weigh anymore.
  17. I made mine 3.2L for my 1600 because a few people told me that would be good for forced induction a bit smaller would be better for N/A from what I have been told.
  18. I'm going to weld all the holes up ect. The center is 67mm I think I measured that last week so I could be wrong.
  19. Um dunno the same as Falcon 5x??? not sure what it is just know its the same.
  20. I hope it works because I have one I want to re-drill to 4x100 very soon like this week or next week.

I think you will find that shortening a diff costs a bit more than $400. Diffs R Us for example will charge about $1000 just for the diff then there's the drive shaft and then setting up the brakes if there disks it wont be just a matter of hooking them up .

I have an XF LSD center with a 2L VN Commodore 4.1:1 crown and pinion.

Your talking about the falcon Borgwarner diff I guess if so VK onwards Commys use them aswell and you can get a 2L ratio which is 4.1:1
