  1. @fletch has much expertise regarding the gear bags. I feel like he once said the boxes with the hydro clutches were the most strong. My old U13 was hydro clutch. And that box was strong AF. As @cletus will still attest to, it seemed impervious to my unrelenting merciless abuse.
  2. You're showing your age now Joe!!!! Even I barely remember that program.
  3. I have an unknown condition unknown model of car (maybe sr18 U13?) 5 speed which I do not want. If you were local I would wait until you go out, and then dump it on your doorstep. If you find a means of getting home it's all yours. $0.00. Maybe sit in on the foot deck of the an125?
  4. Fuses, When spec'ing a fuse, what percentage extra above max theoretic current do you chose? Obviously a 10a fuse with a 10a draw doesnt leave much room for error.
  5. Sorry to hear about your old boy Alex. Must have been a difficult time for you.
  6. Unless you're 4wd, you might struggle to negotiate some of the route.
  7. Could be a collapsed countershaft bearing. Rotates a tiny bit then jams.
  8. Sounds like it could be in two gears at once? My ro-tang (eleventy billion years ago) has bolts anchoring the selector forks to the rods. One undid itself after a pretty hefty high speed run. (The 2/3 one, but in nuetral) Maybe one of yours has come out in gear? So when you hook 1st or reverse, it's in two gears, and cant go anywhere. Theres plates on the side of the gearbox which afford access to the forks. (Likely not in the car though)
  9. In before, have you considered 2zz? /ling
  10. My mums vitz gets used fuck all, and subsequently I have to charge the battery periodically.
  11. I'm pretty sure @Truenotch, @BLIZZO, and Steve found last year that one ute three up was more cost effective than three bikes on the ferry?
  12. I bought one from the tool shed for around $30 on special. I've never actually used it in anger yet. At work I have a Fluke (or flume? Idk) which I use for measuring ground temperatures when doing ice inspections. I dunno what that one cost, but I was told "it wasn't cheap" by the guy who did buy it. They both seem to work the same. (Never done a comparison side by side)
  13. I like having you on this ride Richard. When you're there, I'm not the guy everyone is waiting for.
  14. Also worth noting that Day 2's route will be largely dependent on the road conditions. Saw a thing somewhere on line today saying the road to French pass, and kenepuru rd are fubar'd atm.
