  1. Lots if not all automatic transmissions from around the mid 90s are semi or fully controlled by an ECU of some sort. Who has had experience with getting them to work when doing a conversion. For example, I'm thinking of fitting a VK45DE with its factory auto trans to a different vehicle. How easy is it to get the trans to operate? Chairs
  2. Im guessing its a typo. But my understanding is gvms are not easily changed. Not that i want to change it.
  3. I have a 1980 Ford Courier ute. Stock standard 4cylinder petrol. The GVM as recorded for it is 3500kg. Most utes of this model GVM are 1999kg. I was thinking of stretching it at the rear to put a longer deck on it and running another axle. (6wheeler) Question is.. Will the cert fulla change the GVM from whats on the paper work (3500kg) to what most utes are in this model (1999kg) or leave it as it is. Can a cert fulla even change the GVM? Was going to pm Cletus but will ask on here to get other mofos opinions aswell. Chair
  4. Ive got something similar in my shed. Its a Daihatsu 550. One day i might do something with it but probably not. Super cool little trucks though.
  5. Interesting. I will have to look at both my 1750 and 2.6 to compare trans tunnels. I just assumed they were the same.
  6. Cool car, great to see there is still love for the marinas. You wouldn't be interested in a marina 262 6 cylinder conversion would you? I have everything from radiator to driveshaft. Borg Warner 3 speed includded.
