  1. Yeah sunday night. Dunno how far it is from yours to hemi-sans place of employment? Might not be worth the hassle, cos how do we transport 10 peeps to the cars? lol Might have to leave ralph outside to ward off any car theives.
  2. I call dibbs on a non floor sleeping posi. Unless someone else offers up somewhere to crash, you're likley going to be stuck with like 9-10 people Me Bubbles Leppa Andy karl Horse rob Beardy Mrs bubbles and Ky. (assuming we doesn't mind staying the extra night) Thats going to be a bit of a squeeze. lol Perhaps some other GC is able to share the burdon?
  3. I wasn't refering to that thread as such. Datsunboy is the guy with the nistune tool. He also does an easywire ca18 loom conversion. He has been planning to do the same conversion to an L18. Given the antiquated nature of the Z series engine management, it makes good sence to change over. PLus you get the added bonus of the CA18 base maps to begin with.(after all, the engines are the same displacement) PLus if you use CA18det injectors, they're heaps bigger than the Z18 ones too.
  4. Sweet car dude. I really dig these cars. (Seem to be too few of them around nowdays) I dunno about using an SR computer, but I do know a guy who fitted full managemnt from a CA18det to a Z18et. The car went to invercargill, then the motor got sold to a guy who lives around the corner from me. They adapted the CAS to the dizzy, and then just used the CA18 TPS, AFM, coil packs ignitor loom and computer to run it. This gives the advantage of computer controlled timing. With the stock ecu and dizzy, he had been getting pinging issues once the boost got up over 12psi. I don't know if it ever wound up getting powertuned. (He lived in Dunners, and my other mate with the nostune tool is here in CHCH) One thing that did have to be done though was the CAS had to be dismantled, and the disc inside it needed to be inverted. This is because the dizzy turns in the opposite direction to the camshaft. It did run fine before it was iverted, it's just that it ran on two cylinders.
  5. I might be talking smack, but is that carburator going to be big enough to feed a boosted rotor? I realise that it's quite a big hole, but they used to run two of them on a 4 litre jag.............. I'd hate to see you lean out a motor you just built.
  6. On the back of a filthy bogan's ute.
  7. Getting a shop to fix your box will entail a barbed wire dildo being rammed up your arse elbow deep when you get the bill.
  8. one pair 28"x7.1". (tall but skinny)
  9. I'm toying with buying a pair of nice skinny tyres from auckland somehwere. Anyone from up round there rocking to the nats who could bring em down for me? I can just justify buying them, but freight will rape it for me. Anyone?
  10. Sounds like your front seal is fisted. When you pull it out, also check the neck of the converter for wear on the seal journal. A new front seal wont be that expensive. it'd cost a bit more to have the converter neck replaced.
  11. What can happen when a trans gets too hot, is the seals go hard and then begin to leak. I had a val once with a fucked front seal. If I botted it or towed with it, or drove it up hills it would spit all it's oil out and lose drive. It spat out 5 ltrs of oil going up the Takaka hill. (And burned another 2 in the engine too) Find the leak, and pull off the pan. A pan full of metal/lining material = find a new trans.
  12. I used a center punch to undo those bolts usually.
  13. That wouldn't be an A12 datsun head by chance would it?
  14. Grant? The forecast is poos, which is ghey.
  15. That would get too sweaty. Plus it would lull you into a false sence of security. With no seatbelts in the back, you'll need to be held in your seats by the clutching of your butt cheeks in terror. (thats an actual quote from a freind of mine who once rode in the back seat of my old 1200 coupe with the exact A15 in my car now. except before it was supercharged. If you cunts is lucky, I'll fit a radio and a heater to the beast over easter.
  16. Sweet Val bro. Where'd ya score that chrysler blue engine paint from? It's fucking good to see another mopar on the forum. Do a skid!
  17. How Ironic. My 1200 needs thousands of hours/dollars of panel work too. It's raw and nasty. I'm gonna bring some earplugs for the hapless souls who roll with I.
  18. As discussed by txt today Ky, if we chuck some luggage on andys ute for the return trip, there'll be a spare seat for you in the 1200.

    evo6 l300 van

I saw one of these vans on saturday which had had an RB20det fitted to it. It had to have a custom plenium made for it to clear the seat.
  20. I figured gas was the responsibility of the persons traveling in each vehicle. I don't have a shit show of carting that motor sorry KK. Dirty old Andy Gal has a ute though..........
  21. I feel you should Hemi my good man. The dodgyer you look, the more you'll draw attention away from my pig bait shit heap. lol Plus thursday is less sus than friday.
  22. Exellent!
  23. I don't have a build thread! lol I've been meaning to start one since ages ago.
  24. None of you sad bastards down for some convy "A" action? It means an extra night OTP.
  25. Alcohol wouldn't pass my lips KK! (Except on days that end in a y) I'm thinking of taking an extra coil outta the fronts. I might need to borrow some wheels with smaller tyres for the rear. The 205/60/13's get raped by the guards with a load on. Hopefully leppas meshies will clear. It does look pretty sweet since I fitted the blocks to the rear.
