  1. Despite being illegal because cyclists cant see them, you absolutely MUST fit camo door cards. I know they're awful, but would it still be a rotor if it didnt?
  2. Bloody good work there chap! That intake actually looks like a pretty efficient design too. Swapped to an ECU with a map sensor, those trumpets would sound glorious if they were open to atmosphere......
  3. At what point do you say to yourself, i shouldn't be driving?
  4. That's cool Those are actually pretty good cars. probably getting to valuable now for that sort of carry on.
  5. I'd say the latter. I swapped a 32/36 Weber off my A15 for a 350cfm 2bbl, and the reduction in fuel consumption was out of this world.
  6. Another intoxicatingly enjoyable thread update. Your taste in cars is questionable at best. But your build threads are beyond reproach. I saw the picture of the 3.5 with the intake removed and thought, man an alloy 4bbl with a Holley 390 would be awesome on this! But then remembered who's thread I was reading, and that's not how you roll. Keep your foot on the gas dude. We're all rooting for you!
  7. Late last century I sold a wof'd, reg'd rx3 coupe running and driving with a 13b for $4850. Makes that nose cone seem kinda spendy........
  8. The thing which leaps out at me about this build is, with the unaffordability of old rotor shit, that nose cone must have cost a kings ransom?
  9. Some good friends of the father in law used to run a lodge on the island too. We were always "going to go there" but never got around to it. Then they onsold it and moved on. Maximum regrats on that one.
  10. I've used VDO in the past. Anything modified needs a proper temperature guage. I got the shits with trying to guess how hot my engine was based on a (40 year old, built to a price) factory gauge with no numbers on it.
  11. Hey @SOHC, will you be racing this at drag day?
  12. Great pictures everyone. Looks like another epic oddessy. If I put of a pair of socks and undies straight out of the washing machine it would be just like being there.
  13. A Panasonic tough pad is probably not cheap, but they're durable. They're available with a keyboard attached too. The one I use to run RAMM was MOONBEAMS becauee of the built in GPS transceiver thingy
  14. I did a course on Monday just been. Quite a few guys there from the marlborough roads recovery team there. They reckoned french pass should be done by xmas. But they werent optimistic about Kenepuru rd.
  15. I just stopped by to ask, if you'll be on the dyno before drag day? And also to say, Damn those god damned torpedoes! Dont you dare run a lower redline for a drag day. If you dont rev your engine to the moon, even for just that one day, I'll block you. Plus if you scatter the block, someone is sure to be filming. So we can all enjoy your offerings to the gods of speed. (Over and over)
  16. Dave liked them before they were cool......
