  1. Thats a good question! If we're meeting at 830, and we talk smack/wait for straglers till say 9. then stop for a piss at cheviot, and for an ice cream or beer at Waiou. before heading off to Kaikoura. Um, I don't have a fucking clue what time we'll get there sorry. 12? 1230? I've only been that way once, and I don't really remember how far it was.
  2. The biggest motor the sc14 was factory fitted to was a 2.4ltr. The Eaton M62 was fitted to a nissan VG33. (3.3ltr) The toyota is more compact, but the eaton is slighlty longer, which will aid pulley alignemnt when mounting. How much boost do you wanna run? Roots blowers don't like big numbers.
  3. You just want more ballast to hold you on the road leppa!
  4. A mate of DPNS has done the same. He showed my a bunch of pics of it, but I was half cut at the time. Maybe Dan can get some.
  5. Niether Transverse front leaves. Maybe you can have them reset. But dont quote me on that.
  6. Be good to meet you fliboi. You been whoring here a while, and I can't put a face to the name yet.
  7. Looking sharp there 10-5! What colour are you going drape upon her gorgeous curves?
  8. Wow, the track was slipperier than the diesels at mcleans island road back in the day! Even with my super sticky DOT drag tyres, I couldn't run faster than 14.8. Lined up against Josh a couple of times, and got my arse handed to me on both occasions. 'Twas still a worthwhile exersize though. Good fun to give the old girl a good sounds thrashing. I also some stella reaction times. Quite a few under one tenth of a second, and a personal best of .002. (and one red light by -.006) Even though there were loads of fast cars there that thrashed me, it's amazing what a difference 3 or 4 tenths reaction time makes to getting off the line.
  9. UNless the quake raped his building he should be.
  10. I didn't know Nathan ever actually drove his 510. Give him some shit from me.
  11. Drags this saturday. Ruapuna. For the deets, cheack out http://www.pegasusbaydrags.co.nz/ Just do it!
  12. 830am? Thats a little bit early isn't it?
  13. Finding a lenient VTNZ, is like trying to find a culturally sensitive Nazi. They're all a pack of cunts. I think AA testing in hornby can do stickers too. And a guy at work reckoned that wayne martin can do them as well now too. (Best to ring him and ask though)
  14. I look forward to there being a 521 ute in your lockup instead of an old laurel!
  15. you can get around needing the fangled seals on the throttle shaft, if you drill small holes up through the baseplate to the throttle shafts. Then make a carb spacer with orifaces drilled to deliver boost to these holes. This will equalize the pressure between the venturi, and the throttle shafts. A small amount of air will seep out the ends of the throttle shaft, but no fuel will find it's way out.
  16. I've never investgated drawing through an IHI. Also your mistaken regarding carbon seals and fuel. you must run a carbn sealed turbo, if you wish to run a drawthrough set up. It isn't that the pertochemicals fuck the sels, it's that the non carbon seals aren't designed to retian oil under the vaccuum that the compressor housing will see when the throttle blade is closed.
  17. I'd have the drum skimmed. It's that cheap nowdays (if you know the right people) that I always do that as a starting point. And new shoes aren't that dear either.
  18. Nice car dude. Is the engine red or blue/green? What part of NZ are you in? Bellemy and east here in CHCH sell blocks and U bolts pretty cheap.
  19. True story. when it comes to our meets, if they aren't good enough mates to just send them a txt (or verbal) invite, then we don't want them. I'd rather cruise with 6 or 7 GC's, than run with a pack of 20 fucktard douchebags. PLus those matt black desprung shitboxes are spo slow that I get stuck behind them.
  20. There is a steam cleaner out the back of butler auto mart in stanmore road, that runs on $2 coins. (Or at least there used to be) And this weekend supercheap auto has cans of australian export degreaser 3 for $6. Spray a whole can of that shit on, let it sit. Drop in $2, and blast the fuck out of it. Repeat as required. I realise your car is English, ("If it doesn't leak oil, it wasn't made in England") But for a maximum investment of around $10-12 it should be as clean as it can get. My dad used to have an uber Meke steam cleaner. Had it's own seperate diesel tank and all. That used to get shit real clean. BUt it used to leave the lawn covered in all manor of the scoaty crud that grows on engines/in engine bays of 40 year old cars. I do miss it though.
  21. Target car park=one way in, one way out. Cops block the road when people at the furniture shop call the police, and everyone with no wof, reg, cert, bald tyre(s), illegal mods, outstanding fines, no license gets fined/stickered/impounded. Remember the story about the flat peakers who facebooked a cruise to the go-kart track.
  22. There were heaps too many flat peakers at the last multi club run too. It sounds gayer than aids. and I'm not even on faece book.
  23. Hahaha. I don't think thats a challenge I'd except. Saturday 27th is better for me for a go-kart track trip. Unless it's raining, I'm gonna bolt up my sticky tyres, and see what breaks.
