  1. There's holes in the bonnet of that one, they're probably trying to see its hidden wonders. Also trying to see the motor.
  2. Yeah, you'd definitely have to spacer it, you could get it sitting perfect if you did that too though. Flick me through your addy and I'll try remember to send one on the weekend.
  3. What length threaded section to tip do you need?
  4. I'll send you one if you want to try one. I buy them by the box from RockAuto so I don't get raped by NZ retailers asking too much.
  5. Put a rotor plug in anyway because braps / 2 stroke is equally as cool?
  6. You could fit a rotor spark plug to eliminate that problem? Might not burn hot enough perhaps.
  7. This is what I have in the shed. https://panelstore.co.nz/collections/all-paint/products/3m-platinum-plus-body-filler-3-8kg
  8. Was whatever the old panelshop used to get after they decided the 3M they used to use was too expensive, I can't recall specifics I just remember it not being quite as nice to work with as the 3M shit so when I got a bucket for home I got the 3M shit.
  9. I use a 3M one, it sands a bit nicer than the Evercoat.
  10. Yeah, sorry, I wasn't paying enough attention. I saw etch but I was actually thinking epoxy in my head. Derped it up.
  11. Fuck it's beyond great that this little fucker is running and driving again and so massively upgraded to Richie standards. So. Fucking. Good.
  12. I mean, I could be wrong but that's the theory I use. Filler can trap and absorb moisture so I figure protect the steel, filler, sand, respray more epoxy if you rub through then sand and filler prime then sand then top coat
  13. Etch prime first so there's a barrier from moisture against the steel.
  14. Yeah, satisfactorily neat and fantastic.
  15. I guess at least with this one the roof structure can't rust underneath so that's a bonus.
  16. There's a guy in Argentina who makes an OK one now but.. ..he's in Argentina.
  17. I'm sure you've checked a bunch of things already but I'd be looking at: 1. The points removal/electronic ignition conversion, is that wired up correctly with the correct coil/ballast for the application for the unit. 2. Vacuum lines for the carb, are they connected to the correct places to get advance. As well as all the other ports on the inlet, etc. etc. 3. Comp testing should be done at WOT, not sure if it has by those figures. As Phil says, they're low. Probably too low.
  18. I want to do the 110 myself. If I was willing to pay someone to fix it I would have done that years ago to be honest. This (the roadster) is a car to thrash and enjoy, not something to make money on.
  19. Haven't they put a time limit on the learner's now?
  20. Mine and Joe's together briefly during our South Island roadtrip in his.
  21. I got the replacement clutch in and working but there's still something a little awry there that will have to wait until I get back from a couple of weeks holiday. I also discovered that I have a fairly common wobbly crank pulley issue so I should look into that before I get too carried away thrashing it. That said, I did enjoy taking it for a wee hoon after I got the clutch working and the hardtop on. More to come in the future but this is where we are at the minute: Once that was sorted I took it for a hoon to see my other white coupe...
