  2. shit looks like an absolutely epic tow mish. if it were me id look at getting a 13B front cut from TM, was cheap enough a couple of months back

  4. whats with that horrible exhaust up front on the SR20?
  5. i actually quite like these aye, back in school a mate had a sacked gray one which we took off the clock on the airport motorway a couple of times (200 or 220 clock?). was dumb and fun at the time

  10. haha so you got it then? fucking amazing. good stuff
  11. just wow. amazing project, would definately be keen to see more.
  12. thinking about what to do with the steering as it fouls on the bellhousing as it sits. an option is to modify the current setup, probably new or modified pitman arms as nothing can be welded. Also a curved or extended centre linking arm might stuff up the steering... looking for solutions. Anotherdea is to swap the front hubs left to right etc. this may allow a steering rack to be put on or infront of the crossmember, but would change the position where the clalipers sit, not sure if that is bad or not tbh
  13. cutting out rust in the floors bastard half full tank taken out unhappy with the state of the boot floor so that has to be dealt to
  14. i always thought mk2s have bolt on guards? or are they like mk1s?
  15. very very cool car dude dare I say it, getting 40s for it/head work etc wont be a whole lot cheaper than getting a differnet engine and tacking up some new mounts providing there is no major cutting and fab work. still, very cool ride and good luck
  16. Part charge up front is very reasonable and Mark Stokes is a name that's been around for ages, I will get in touch with him. thanks for that
  17. i love the 1mm disks but they seem to fuck out really easily around the metal ring. have to be veeery carefull to use it at right angles and stuff, might be a brand issue tho with the bunnings stuff
  18. nice thread man. Im looking to use some flap disks soon to tidy welds and gotta get one of those spot weld drill bits. Also need a decent hammer and dolly. trademe currently has bulk lots of cutting disks for cheap, considering the are around $3 i think ea from bunnings and hammer hardware runs uo to $5.50 ea fuck that for the 2.3mm jobbies which dissapear quick once you start hackin bits off sheet metal to fab up. Argoshield is definately nice to work with, Im stil a noob but using mostly argo, 0.6/0.8 wire on a 135 amp mig is sweet. the UK mig site is pretty helpfull
  19. Hey Clint, can you help with a couple of issues please? - Recommend a certifier in Centralish Auck? (Car is in Roskill and not rolling at the moment, I'm not clued up as to the 'Certifier categories' but looking at engine/trany swap, wheels, suspension, possibly steering, seats etc, the lot) - How do certifiers work/charge if callouts are involved to check out the work as opposed to working form emails? Ie. is it common to just charge the cert fee or are there callout fees? cheers
  20. who knows what steering box this can be found in (one on the left). I do know it's out of a 84 Cressy but dont know if its a common toyota one or just cressy only?
