  1. there are some skyline calipers that take 30mm rotrs which might be a bit more available than the GTR ones. Are they likey to fit 32mm disks or not so much?
  2. from what i can see online pajero vented disks are 24-27mm thick
  3. yea seems like once you get into the 30mm thick Subie range they were meant for larger disks around 330mm or so, still wont take 33mm thick
  4. cheers, shall investigate this
  5. Hoping someone can help here... I have some brake disks with the specs below, need to find calipers that would suit the size and thickness. Something reasonably common/available would be preferable to going spendy aftermarket. Yell out if you need more info, thanks DIMENSIONS DIAMETER = 295mm HEIGHT = 66mm THICKNESS = 32.9mm MINIMUM = 30.9mm CENTRE HOLE = 78mm STUD = 5 PCD = 5.5"
  6. whats your budget like? most would say shorten a hilux diff but you might end up with different PCDs
  7. welcome to my world. is converting to rack an option? I mean youre already certing it..
  8. Ive sent quite a few emails and phone calls to a couple of certifiers, as well as an engineer who does RHD conversions. Still haven't been able to get one to commit and come to look, so I'm kinda stuck. Bit anoyed about it TBH I really need to sort the steering to go on with the project, finalise mountings for other things etc. so I can (hopefully) come back and rectify any B/S issues that might arise, later. front hub diagram: http://www.aziaavto.kz/images/niva/21214_M/6.jpg
  9. yea well it would be nice if I could find one to come and have a look/chat, be it as it is I've gotta do a lot flying semi-blind
  10. yeah sweet as, that's what Im thinking also. Unfortunately it seems to be completely uncharted territory for what I'm doing and will just have to see how it turns out, Ill make an update on my project thread this weekend. basically mounting a manual steering rack of another vehicle to my crossmember and possibly change tie rod ends to suit and seek advice about the universals setup from the likes of Autolign.
  11. in regards to steering rack conversion, do the tie rods have to point straight out to the hub or is a small angle up acceptable? cheers example: not my car but roughly this much angle (not much)
  12. awesome project man, these things are so so cheap in europe, would love to get one in. Ive seen them in the Balkans for as low as 100 euro, also looking at a R100 piston going cond for 350 euro. good luck

  19. In terms of LED lights for the rear of the car, indicators/stops/reverse... is it enough to have standard numbers on the packaging and/or the lens or do they have to be individually approved by LVVTA?
