  1. I see it was in general discussion rather than projects. Maybe offtopic is better? Im not going to claim its old school but Id imagine its interesting to people on the forum, at least as much as alot of the other non oldschool car posts that appear. Anyway I have no authority so Im gonna leave this issue now
  2. Unlock ftw. Not like anyone else does up Shuttles and yours looks kinda cool
  3. Will a b16a bolt up to the D15b 5 speed ? I can get my hands on a b15a engine no probs. B16A = 170 hp D15B = 130 hp Space is limited and ill most likely turbo it. Could go with a B16A but i purchased a whole Domani for $200 and have all the parts for the D15B conversion. Pretty much no parts are interchangeable between the D and B series motors or gearboxes Guessing its only a typo but no such thing as a B15a. Second gen B16A's are 170hp, the early ones (in EF civics, EF CRXs and pre facelift DC integras) are only 160. First gen motors had a cable clutch whereas second gen are hydraulic. AFAIK theyre interchangeable though. One vote for the B series, pretty much a better engine all around. The space thing is an interesting comment, cant say Ive even seen one in real life but theres plenty of B series minis around and probably some turbo ones too (the yellow Dejoux comes to mind which have an even smaller engine bay than a mini) and an 1100 must have more room than a mini.
  4. I'm out. Car is sold and being picked up on Saturday. Ill probably still come along to look though.
  5. The annual british car day is on again at Trentham Memorial Park Sunday 15 Feb Gates open 10am-3pm $5 per car Anyone interested?
  6. Be careful with Prepsol. I used it on a Honda dash and it took all the texture off it. May be ok on some though depending on what theyre made of.
  7. Unfortunately it is on the road, right by the sea where it hasnt moved for about 18 months
  8. On a related note: My car has some patches where the paint is scratched and swirled from a previous polishing job. Its still got plenty of paint on it but just scratched which stops it looking properly glossy. Whats the best way to fix it?
  9. Nope. Down south. Not that anyone probably expect me anyway
  10. Yes that is the (formerly called) Whittakers weekend so Im sure lots of people will be going up. Id offer but I wont have a spare seat.
  11. +1 Would have liked to have seen it on the Wats with that height...but this is I'm guessing alot cheaper way to do it and still looks really good.
  12. Trump probably more suitable but will see how the weather looks closer to the time
  13. Mataura is near Gore Looks like an Otago Sports Car Club event
  14. Bit hard to tell from the photos but the orange shell dont look that bent...wouldnt it have been easier to fix that?
  15. So your looking around 5 ton. Can you even drive something that heavy without an HT licence?
  16. Also Long wheel base is better. Saw a SWB FJ40 landcruiser towing a 60s merc on a trailer once. Looked very scary
  17. Have you touched anything mechanical or is it only asthetic stuff?
