  1. What you got @kyteler? I stopped past @- i5oogt -s stash of Datsun/Nissan goodness last night and found an r30 that can donate guards and doors but all the bonnets are fucked.
  2. Problem is the right tail light is a little broken. haven't taken it off to see if the bits are inside and can be glued back on. I'll hit up that arron dude and see if he has a parts wagon.
  3. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
  4. I got a L28 turbo manifold last night needs a little fiddling to fit the LD.
  5. This weekend was filled with assessing what is required to get the R30 driving legally again. Plus a date with Mr Karcher and degreaser was organised. So far I need an engine/trans, 3 Doors, tail gate, tail lights, front guards, steering idler bush, and tyres. Also need to gut and clean the interior to remove the stink, fix a little rust, remove and reseal the Jurassic Park windows at the back, attack the springs with a grinder, and fix the fuel tank. Good thing I've got a few sedans I can rob bits off, just need someone with wagon specific stuff for the likes of lights and tail gate.
  6. I'm coming to the conclusion that I shouldn't listen to @- i5oogt - or @RUNAMUCK. Terrible influences they are. I got shown some pics of a slightly sad looking R30 wagon by Karl whilst picking up another car. I informed it was in @Slacker_Sam.s possession and he was looking to offload it. Rego on hold, Cert for LD28 + 5 speed, 1000k of RCU in credit, and pens in the foot well! To the question "Should we go and get it?" I couldn't say no. To make the trip from Christchurch to Motueka worth while we planed it to coincide with @datto_610 and @NickJ getting Greg's 120YTHEFUCKDIDIBUYTHIS and I towed @RUNAMUCKs Kraut Barge to its demise. @- i5oogt - also had business in Blenheim so a trip to the VCC parts shed there for some barrying was in order (they had a stock of vintage Chev stuff I wanted to raid). Left CHCH at 7am got to Motueka at 6:30Pmish dumped off the Bavarian Money Waster, grabbed some food and boose, and headed out to where this wagon was parked. It was pitch fucking black. Not one of my better ideas to load up in the dark. Whilst loading up by the light of Sam's Newschool car the old Barry whose house it was at offered us a good deal on another sedan shell with an L20ET plus a few LD28s and gearboxes. couldn't say no again so another trip is being planned. With car strapped on and BBQ supplies in the tray we hauled ass over the hill, paused to get the plate number of an old car(whats that plate Baart), to @yoeddynz and Hannah's for a BBQ and to camp out in their shed (Thanks for the hospitality guys). The next morning was the first time I saw it up close in daylight. Karl said "what do you think pf your new skyline Will?" "What the fuck have i gotten myself into?" is all I could think. on the trip home the cars fuel tank came into contact with the trailers winch and ruptured it proving there was diesel in it and it was sealed up until then. We got back to Christchurch just on dark and kicked the R30 off the trailer in Mum's driveway. It was at this point a couple welds on the trailer decided to break. I blame that lard of a Bimmer. Discussion thread:
  7. aaah just drive the ms107 out I've never seen a cop go down johns road.
  8. Inlet, NA exhaust, injectors, 2 NA injector pumps, flex plate, and a box of other crap I can't remember what's in it.
  9. There's injectors but I've no clue whether that are turbo or na.
  10. @Beaver do you want a Turbo RD short block, couple heads, and other gubbins?
  11. Supermarine sound like a good name?
  12. Haven to been there for a while. Been busy with other shit. If it's there I'm happy to pull it out and drag it to mums a couple kms away.
  13. I'm back on this idea again. What happened about this @cletus? can I put an open speedster body using the original scuttle and bonnet and not have to worry about cert? Mechanicals are original.
  14. looking at these discs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Brake-Rotors-And-Ceramic-Pads-1994-2004-Mustang-Cobra-Mach-1-Bullit/282215940007?fits=Year%3A1999|Make%3AFord|Model%3AMustang|Submodel%3ASVT+Cobra|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A4.6L&epid=2155665364&hash=item41b5617fa7:g:9AgAAOSwE2da1iuE&vxp=mtr @kicker where did you get your calipers?
  15. Not 100% sure. I'm going to put discs on the back so something 1" or so. I think an early 2000s patrol one bolts on to the booster. I've got another MS112 crown one which might be a good option.
  16. Going to upgrade the brakes on my 260C. Seeing @kicker used S12W calipers with success that's my first port of call. On tard there's a set off an 06 hilux but they're stamped S12waa. Is there any difference? I'll have to use adapter plates because the plan is to use 13" mustang discs so bolt pattern is not a worry.
  17. Sooooo How much bodywork is required for a car to go on the road? Would be a good lerl to roll round in this as is. Maybe a little drafty.
  18. That'll show like wals one helper springs and all but it has too much in the way of sills.
  19. The coachbuilder is the owner of it. He's a mate of mine. We cut up a shell to use as rust cuts for that car and mine. Sills are being made at the moment. Apparently it's one of only 2 330 coupes that came to nz and the other one has been MIA for 20 odd years.
  20. That wouldn't be a brown one @Chris.QCR? Shell certed for an LD28?
  21. A lot of people tend to forget that back in the 60s NZ was in the middle of butt fuck nowhere. It still is but technology has reduced that gap artificially (not a good way of explaining it but anyway). For craftsmen it was cheaper easier to make performance parts for their race cars rather than mail order from the states or UK. A couple good examples are the Chain drive Stanton Corvette and the Silvester V8 coupes inlet manifold and carbs.
  22. I don't see why it would. A verified odo is more of a maintainance feel good thing. It protects the buyer from purchasing a car that's done 300k rather than the 100k advertised. It becomes an issue with diesel vehicles when the go for a wof and the odo is the same as the last wof though.
