  1. Na sorry don't have the coupe anymore. Sold it to a guy in Dunedin for parts for his. Both door glasses and the driver's 1/4 we're broken though
  2. Why not use two engines to fill space?
  3. Finnaly picked up this pile today. Diesel Cedric doing what it was born to do Going to remove all this complicated emmissions bs and prob put an earlier carb on that dosent have all the vacuume lines aswell. Maybe I'll just put the whole 4m from the ms65 in it.......
  4. Found out that both windscreen replacements in christchurch and fast Auto Glass have screens for ms80/83/85 in the shelf . Suppposidly will fit but will have to do a measure up to be sure.
  5. Got another coupe for parts With @- i5oogt - bluebird life
  6. So I went digging in the ms65 and found more rust than I was happy about repairing so this can be put on hold cos it's rooted. So @toy-mota sent me a message that's this is finnaly for sale. Looked at it made an offer and today was a done deal. New project time Car is a 1980? Ms107 crown. Is super lush with a/c, power steering, auto trans, and a power house 2ltr m-eu Has a little rust in the roof, doors, sils, and tailgate but really not bad at all. Worst pary it the windscreen in cracked so don't know where Ill find another one. Also a 7 seater
  7. We use fast Auto Glass at work Resonbly priced and do call outs
  8. Pulled the head off this pos this morning. Turns out no 6 has blown round water jacket. Goodly amount of scunge on top of piston and in head Will take head into work and give it all a real good clean up and do valve stem seals and whatnot. May even do an oil change whilst I can get to the oil filter Pics
  9. Got this pile back together today and running. @Threeonthetree
  10. The same reaction also came from @- i5oogt -
  11. Soo fell into the trap of another suspiciously under priced 90s luxury vehicle. Been hooning this 96 stagea for 3 months trouble free. Till It blew all the water out the other day. Think it's been over heated by previous owner and had some chemi weld of such other thing put in it to fix it temporoaly. When I filled the cooling system with rad flush I think it's washed it out and now head gasket is rooted again Poor stagea. Will take motor out . Do rear main seal, cam belt, crank and cam seals, water pump, termostat, and valve stem seals whilst it's all apart. And head gasket
  12. Took manifold to work today and extracted broken bolt. Drilled most of the way. Then dremmeled the remainder of the bolt out Thread was pretty chewey so a 6mm thread insert later and it's good to go
  13. Nice and clean...... Sort of @- i5oogt - has before photos The question was how to remove the sump bung. Answer. +Heat
  14. @sheepers are you filling over bare steel or epoxy priming first then filling?
  15. Yea moped division and treat land sell lots of racing bits. Think there must be a racing series for them in the states of some sort. Racing crank and 75cc kit are pretty reasonable pricing also
  16. Tried dyres pass this morning. Got couple hundred meters then gave up. Way down was good fun though Think it's time for a 75cc kit
  17. Got this running again finnally. Carb was full of silt from tank not being cleaned ever. Maybe I should find a small filter. Also think flywheel moved round. Have made reference marks so if it does again I will know
  18. +t has been tried and tested to be a good thing
  19. Ride this pile to work today Went really good in the morning. Maybe the cool air did it some good?? Maintaining like 55-60 on slight downhill bits. Kept up with traffic in the 50kms areas On the way home though like 5 min from home it started to lack a bit of power. Then by the time I got home it could harldey keen itself running. Seems to have good compression still. Wondering if a bit of crap came through the tank into the carb. Will investigate prob next week
  20. How did you sort axels leaking? Thicker oil?
  21. Reverse threaded bolt threaded in? Like you say m8. Should hold up I think we've got a couple reverse thread taps at work
  22. Bet that hurt/stung real good. Done same sort of thing . Paint thinners is a real goodie to get in eyes. 0/10 would try again
