  1. Totally unnecessary addition to the car.. because I've always wanted a bonnet scoop. I like it anyway Out with the old.. In with the new.. I like the new view from the cockpit..
  2. Dang you take some mighty fine pictures there sir. Thanks for sharing
  3. I called into glassways here in Puke and the lady tried her best to track something down. She got a number of a guy in Hamilton that may be of help but I haven't heard back from her yet. Her suggestion was to contact fellow Fiat enthusiasts in a club that may have contacts but I'm sure you would have already done this. I'll let you know if she gets back to me.
  4. Mate. Finally catching up on threads & stuff on here. That visor is looking super awesome man, & the whole wagon is coming together wonderfully. Wish I could say the same for mine lol. I got the windscreen on my 74 Camaro replaced thru Protecta, & the local crowd here in Puke rang to organise it & had one in stock within a day. Let me know if you want their contact number & I'll dig it out for ya, or I may even call in there this morning if I remember.
  5. I hear Southern District Towing have good vehicle storage. Only thing it costs you $423.31 for a month & you need to do a burnout in the car to qualify for access in to their storage facility. So that might not work for you..
  6. Keen on joining a convoy if I'm not shifting that weekend.
  7. Little update. My new best friend Ross Taylor gave me a warrant on this thing the other week, but he did mention the trans mount looked a little buggered. So out with the old.. And in with the new.. It was vibrating a bit on the last couple of drives so I'd imagine this will help things a little. The trans is still leaking so I'll have to look at that soon otherwise this mount will go the way of the old one I'd say.
  8. Hey Mike.. yea my idea was to just paint the roof white and leave it like that for a while. I've got good memories of the family P76 with the pop up sunroof and you could remove it too like this one can. Yep, I'll take care of it mate for sure
  9. Awesome to hear the black visor works better for your wagon man, can't wait to see it in place! I've got a roof cut if I wanna fill it in, but I'm really not to fussed at the mo as I don't mind sunroof's. I'll repaint the car & leave the sunroof in it for now, & when I decided to put a new vinyl roof on it further down the track I'll decide for sure then. The car is heading into storage for a few months soon as I'm selling up here & moving. Just gotta make sure I don't make any rash decisions like thinking about selling it. That usually happens when its outta sight outta mind lol.
  10. Pffft.. forget all earlier delusions of short deadlines. No progress here but I did finally get this visor on the car. Did a swap with Azzurro and this thing fits perfect. Thanks man! Big thanks to the OS delivery system too. You know who you cool cats are. I even sat in the car and made broom broom noises and hung my arm out the window. Now why would I ever think of selling this thing??
  11. Yea I thought you were there man, but when I looked around a little later I couldn't see you. Didn't know if I was imagining things or not. Surely it's not THAT hard to miss a loud Welshman with a beard & hairdo like Grizzly Adams.
  12. I'm digging this shot just cos its my car. I don't see many pics of this thing other than what I take so its nice to see another persons perspective. Cheers to you Mr Aviators
  13. I'm out west for work... Henderson area.. where/when does the convoy start? might be keen to join in//nothing better to do
  14. Nice. I'll talk to you about it at the meet man
  15. Oh, and the car decided to christen the garage floor after sitting for a coupla weeks.. Better check that out on the weekend. Trans oil level seemed fine (if not possibly too high on the dipstick), so perhaps (hopefully) just the gasket needs replacing (or bolts tightening up).
  16. No progress, but been purchasing some necessary (and unnecessary) things for the car.. My Rockauto order came thru the other day.. Got the new manifold & bits & pieces, as well as a pair of exhaust cutouts... just cos loud is cool.. And the MSD setup & traction bars (just cos I like traction bars). I'll probably put them on, find they're a complete pain in the arse, then take them off again but hey thats part of the fun right?
  17. Finally!! some progress.. So what did the paint job set you back? I'm still contemplating painting mine myself or getting someone to do it & the best cost I got so far is $3-3500 and that's with me supplying the paint.
  18. Heading up to Auckland for work, so have planned that around this meet as I've never been to one before & this may be one of the only times I get to attend. I'll even bring the Camaro.. just gotta hope it doesn't overheat in Auckland traffic (think I'll do a radiator flush this weekend to see if this helps) Will there be stickers available for virgins that attend..?
  19. Been looking at these as well. Forgot all about rockauto, will look into that one, cheers!
  20. Cheers man. They have made an amazing difference & makes me feel a lot better knowing the wheels are running true. One thing I remember the tyre guy pointing out was that there is a flat spot on both the front tyres from someone slamming on the brakes once upon a time. It didn't look too noticable to my eye, but wondering if this may be contributing to the thrumming. I'm assuming Pedders or the like are available through certain automotive establishments in Auckland? I'm hoping Performance Parts or STA are open this long weekend so I can pick up a MSD Streetfire & gasket set for the manifold.
  21. I've got some word documents with pictures of injected wiring looms if that's any help to you? They're relevant to this type of engine into a LH Torana but might be useful. PM me your email & I can fire them off to ya if you want them.
  22. Next on the agenda is the suspension. The only thing I did notice at slow speed was a kind of "thrumming" for lack of a better description. It only happens every now & then & I'm not sure if its the road or possibly the shocks being worn out. Here are some pics of the current state of the suspension bushes & steering. Looks alright aye??.. Shocks are these Spax things. Is that a good brand? I've heard of them before but can't remember if that's a good thing or not..
