A couple of hours and a lot of swearing later me and my brother managed to get this setting in the engine bay {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252 {\fonttbl\f0\fswiss\fcharset0 Helvetica;} {\colortbl;\red255\green255\blue255;\red0\green0\blue0;\red255\green255\blue255;} \deftab720 \pard\pardeftab720\sa320\qc\partightenfactor0 \f0\fs22 \cf2 \cb3 \expnd0\expndtw0\kerning0 \outl0\strokewidth0 \strokec2 \ \ \ }

Thanks for that I have a y series bell housing on the way soon hopefully
-
i know the autos are 10.5:1 compression ratio have stainless valves instead of titanium and less aggressive cams, the ecu shouldn't be to bad as long as it sees that the inhibitor switch is in park or neutral and an altezza pod filter set up will take care of the afm air box scenario.
-
I bought the engine as an auto conversion but ditched the auto so I have to buy a clutch and flywheel anyway so no point going for a dual mass did you use factory loom and ecu or did you use an aftermarket computer? thanks for all the great advice and sorry if im asking to many question
-
im not to worried cost wise most of the work I can get done cheap through work, do it myself
-
I was planning on using a w55 or w57 with a y series bell housing which should fit with out modification or very little and is the factory ecu that hard to use as have read they need a speedo input which shouldn't be that hard to overcome also a throttle switch on the foot pedal for the electronic throttle body, did you have problems with the height of the engine thanks
-
hey guy im looking at doing a 3sge swap into my ke25 I already have the motor got it cheap but im just wondering if you guys that have done them can give me some tips, am also wondering if I should factory ecu or not thanks
-
wee update no rust in her anymore, lowering blocks and 205/60/13 yokos
-
kp discs are actually smaller then factory ke2# so there kind of downgrade
-
can anyone recommend a decent panel beater or panel shop in christchurch
-
these things come out with 88hp at the flywheel from factory because its a 3kb with twin carbs and a boosted compression ratio from factory and also had 30mm intake ports rather than 25mm tapering to 30mm at the valve ill take a photo if u want to see the difference in port size
-
haven't made much progess but I got the dash and heater out also found some of the old owners rust repairs that aren't to bad
-
yea its not gonna be easy to push that much out but I thought why not make it a challenge to push out some decent power considering im an apprentice mechanic and hopefully get some advice of some race car engine builders that I know
-
its going back to the factory red and its getting a 3k with a few little bits done to it to hopefully push out 90 to 100 rwhp
-
awesome car I personally like worked originally motor and the triple carb and straight cut gears would make it sound awesome, and what was your panel beater like as im looking for a decent one in christchurch
-
