    Do be careful about the correct charger, lipo are basically small grenades in a plastic sheath, and can have appalling failure modes.

    Yes, actually; though it has a horrifying short circuit capability (like 20 - 50kA). I have a more benign PSU I can drop in instead.

    Fit a big (cheap) filter ahead of the rad while flushing?

    250w solar panel / roof / sunshade? Unlimited range... May even be quicker than with 40kg of batteries.

    +1 for shrouds on fan. I had an a14 conversion in a SJ410, which just wouldn't cool until I sorted shrouds. Perhaps the air was just looping around? Also, any room for a second rad somewhere? (in front of front grill like the RBWAT introcoolers?)

    Belfast auto have treated me well, but they seem to be closed ATM. Am enquiring with North Canterbury Engine Reconditioners (98 williams, Kaiapoi). I've had good work from them too.
