    in theory, it could be one of those big , long T series (TE71/AE86 etc) bearings which are a complete darling to get out when they would rather stay where they are. anchor the car down real good and slam the fucker out if it is housing. have almost pulled my Levin of it's perch getting the blighters out.

    undo the last bolt !!!! get some ti-tensile threaded rod and make 2 spreaders to push the axle flange, once under tension, try cracking with a hammer. don't put huge load on it, as you could distort the axle flange

    you in Timaru , right ? who machined it, who re-installed valves/ cams, who timed the engine an answer to each of those, honestly, may get me generous enough to come and have a look. if any of those 4 items are a cock-up, then a compression test may read zero PSI, or fuck all PSI

    what are the odds you forgot to re-attach the small earth wire from firewall to head (or maybe from the turret on those )

    is anyone on here a solid plasterer, or can recommend one ? not necessarily looking for a perker to be done, just want the fucken job that was abandoned finished so i can get extension signed off. some sand/cement work then skim of acrylic required. have been waiting for an age for local companies to inspect/appraise, so may have to cast my net out further. about a weeks work at this stage, but there will be another 2-3 weeks worth at a later date

    i guess the next version of mind fuck would be standard steering and reversed drive direction. should would be different having to backpedal to go forwards..... then have a bike with both .
