Having used both Sena and Cardo I'm a big Cardo fan.

Sena isn't terrible. But Cardo worked over longer distances and battery lasted longer from personal experience. Also if a tonne of you have them they just link up and you can have shit yarns all day.

As far as models, they have a tonne, we got the 'top of the line' one back when we ordered which was the Cardo Packtalk Bold. Cheaper models mean less comms range if you're yarning with someone.

@GuyWithAviators ours have JBL speakers you spoon head. <3

Ah I was thinking of this upgrade set

What was the helmet headset/bluetooth/intercom of choice for everyone?

I bought some aliexpress one a few years ago which couldn't compete with noisy bikes and helmet wind-noise once you got any sense of speed on.

@Mop Head and I have Cardo packtalk bold. Never used a Sena to compare to but I like my Cardo. Can buy upgraded JBL speakers for music but the ones out the box are still good.

Def wasn’t cheap but never failed on us, worked well around cape. We got a twin pack and split the bill. Battery was lasting a day easy with music and yarns all day. Both of us have crashed and knocked out helmets a bit and they didn’t fall off :blackeye:

I suspect the moped on the left has died and is under tow.

It’s an Ubco 2x2 and the 50kph electronically limited speed was a bit punishing on the 70k road we found ourselves on so it needed some help from the others.

Shit, wife informed me last night we have a family thing planned for the saturday.  Not getting out of it apparently.

    I'm out sorry.

Was so keen to give this a go and meet a few more off here ... will make sure I can make it next year.

yeh I’m 100% out too. I haven’t been able to get the Friday off for cape ride, but I got my Suzuki Adly going anyway.

Let’s do a local ride on the Sunday @oldrx7

  5. I enjoy these shitbox updates. I replaced the gearbox on my GA15 b12 Sentra wagon with a PaP unit. It came out hilariously easy. Although it wasn’t funny when my flatmate was lying under the car and I undid some bolts up top and the engine dropped down fairly quickly towards his face only being held up with the clutch cable.

Yea ive done all over 5 years so why the fuck not. Not sure what bike to bring along, my back tells me i should bring the CT185 again, but I have taken a different bike every eastcape,

    2017 - CT110

    2018 - ST90

    2019 - GP125

    2020 - CT185

    2021 - XR250

    2022 - ???????

The trombone was the first bike I built, and its never done an eastcape, so parts of me say I should take it. Its currently still also broken from garlic masters. Maybe its time for an ass punishing on that

Also who here has Cardo's? keen as for some quality shit yarns during the ride this year

Yeh got a cardo packtalk bold 3. Shit was great for music last year
