  1. Fucking awesome. 90% of electrical Gremlins in mine were fixed by fitting the biggest battery i could physically fit. Only 4x4 ive driven offroad and it made me look like a pro.
  2. https://trademe.co.nz/1412096698 Link to pulley kit. 8 psi runs stock belt. They loan you the puller with $160 bond but you have to air freight back to Ozzie so $$ as its heavy. If you slip 10$ in the box when you send back for a bottle of scrumpy and pay for courier to you that'd be enough.
  3. If you want to bump the boost up i have a mace engineering puller to pop the pulley off the blower and drag the new one on. 8psi makes them a real weapon and doesn't seem to upset fuel economy.
  4. Thanks Scott i'll take you up on that offer at some stage im sure.
  5. Looking into a limited slip glove compartment should help contain shit.
  6. Have done a bit of running around in it now to let the ecu self adjust to the new boost level and 98 octane fuel. Gave it full jandal on Saturday from 50 ks its brutal glove box flew open shit everywhere, anywhere below 50 it just steps out sideways till it hits 3rd. 340,000ks now and owes me just over $3000 i bet its got a mid 14 second pass in it if can find grip.
  7. Electric fuel pump on now it starts and runs with very little fuss. My son insisted it needs the turbo i had stored for my triumph on it think he may be right. Go kart or mini chopper frame needed asap.
  8. Old pulley was 92 mm in end (roughly) took fair old swing on the hub puller to shift it too.
  9. 8psi pulley is on and this thing thinks its a 4age now! It actually winds out right past 5000 rpm instead of just going flat at 4500 its sketchy as in the wet with traction control off so... I Did the adult thing and parked it up till the rain stops before i make a dick of myself and put it thru a fence. So a squirt of methanol or E85 i reckon would be lovely. Will it wreck the teflon in my supercharger?
  10. 2 more names BOAT in a fancy font or "Floater"
  11. The bits above go on the huffer itself theres a 5 bolt hub that goes on first then its a just 5 cap screws to change pulleys. These are from Mace engineering they sell various sizes and are really good quality.
  12. Haven't got car at home at moment so will be sunday before i get all this in one place. I bought the fancy pants Eaton pulley removal tool if anyone wants to try it out. Will take some measures before fitting.
  13. Went for a 8 psi pulley setup its modular so i can swap them round as i see fit yes 8 psi is fuck all but stock is 4-5 psi so with the supporting stuff like the exhaust and tune already done it should round it off nicely and make it whine like my mrs when i dont put the rubbish out. will try find a cheap long block to rebuild with good pistons rods and a cam while i scratch my head about how to intercool it without blowing 3 grand on a kit from Aussie.
  14. Well the new daily only set me back $1000 so the stonechip express is off the market and back to been a toy. Which now means.......
  15. stripped all the covers off this weekend and gave the thing a good clean has definitely been looked after brand new carb and air filter inside. Previous owner thought it had low compression as it was hard to start and struggled to stay running, threw 12 volts at it turned key with a puff of engine start away it went.... and then died without picking up any fuel. Fuel pump is shot sucks up just enough to make it run not enough to do anything useful but it definitely sounds sweet with no muffler. It also has a proper oil system so a turbo would actually work on it being 610cc it would spool up a small one too. Right i need a frame.......
  16. Hmm i only sat it on this so i didnt have to carry it..... this is how the other one came to be.
  17. Wonder if its got a lister 7.0liter donk in it 90% of that glorious noise will be induction doorts.
  18. Complete new frame i think may be in order. Rebuild is a priority these engines sound awesome so might look down path of something road legal.
  19. So 2.5hp is cool an all...... Been looking for something a little bigger found it. Shits about to get real fun
  20. So been a while has it been put in corner of the shed and forgotten about? Hell no its become reliable transport it folds up and fits in my boot nicely ive ridden usually 2 up bloody everywhere. Im thinking of building more in fact. Oh and my son has discovered burnouts much to the neighborhoods disgust.
  21. Finally found wheels so i could get the 17's off to be stashed away. Some lower profile tyres will look mint
  22. could go real simple for the heater couple of pc fans drawing air from some 2 inch exhaust tubing tucked under exhaust manifold then flexi tube it ahead of radiator so you dont get fumes. would demist mint.
  23. While your attacking the firewall should recess it 100mm so a Barra will fit..... Probably better to fit heater unit out of something 90's spec and Japanese the triumph units fill with leaves and rust out, or the internal gates seize and give you full time hot feet or wind in your face.
