  1. Dose your bike clunk on the down change? I found i could avoid it if when the clutch is pulled in blip the throttle then change down, you sound like an arsehole but it works.

    I forgot i had that front guard and I found a rear, also found another frame that has had one of the rear engine mounting lugs hacked out to fit some other engine that may be better to use as I may need to do that anyway.
  3. Semi sealed units may look funny if they have the flat glass that sticks out, problem is the sealed beam units they sell now last about 10 mins

    Yes I have some alloy Domi engines plates i will copy the rear half and get the holes marked for the frame witch will make it even easier, engine bottom crankcase though bolts line up perfectly with the frame holes

    It was from a 2 wheel drive sidecar outfit that would carry alot of stuff and a brengun, nz army only had 3 of them, they have an odd frame for the rear axel witch would be impossible to find.

    Indian made 16H fuel tank, got it from my old work, this is %50 of the bike I reckon.

    Engine plan mk4, I got a Norton Big Four 630cc, its from the NZ army, they had 3 of them back in the day, it fits this frame but i will have to grind the bottom of the frame to fit the drain plug
  9. Friend gave me a fume extractor witch is brand new, are they any good?

    Welding fins on is easy, I mist have done 100s of them.
  12. Frend took his car in for a cert for brakes and gearbox swap and the cert guy wants him to put Dynamat on the floor, is that normal?

    Its welded now, had to pre heat and post heat, it was a hard horrible dirty job and it was impossible to get nice welds, it welded best when it was over heating

    Yeh i am tempted to hammer off the flux and gas weld with them, I will give it a test run on a bbq plate.
  16. Anyone here done much cast iron ARC welding? I want to weld up this, 700mm x1000mm 45kgs, i got some of those high nickel rods witch recommend no pree heating and just peen the weld. I was going to drill the ends of the cracks and work my way to the middle with a stich with a long cool down time, and possibly de stress the whole thing after? I have a cast iron plate I was going to make a patch from. Sound like an ok plan?
  17. Have you found the ignition points? I am they they are buried deeply in the engine
  18. Dose anyone know the exact location of a window relay on a 81 Volvo 245? Its somewhere in the center of the dashboard, i just dont want to rip it apart if i don't have to

  21. Battery acid very diluted, i have had a face full a couple times
  22. I probably sed this before but when i worked in bike shops i would fill the battles up from a 20L of acid and chuck the acid that came with the battery in the sealed packs in the bin, ask at a shop and it should be very cheap
