  2. I needed some 20x20 box steel and bought some but it measures only 19x19mm, I cot a cople other sizes and they are also way off, is there a place in auckland that sells better quality?

Would it be possable to brush on 2K clear to an old car to preserve it?
  5. Seriously thinking about selling this to fund mechine work on my ford engine, not sure what it’s worth? Small tractors seem to go for a lot I gess it’s worth more that $1500?
  6. I do the same, I have bought 5 more engines for my car, like I am going to be driving it for another 200 years
  7. I can just picture you bolts that steel you built up with weld into the dill press and then holding the branch grinder with 2 hands
  8. Haha put the link of when you put that on Ford barn, those stupid old bastads will love that
  9. Goastchips have you tried asking on fordbarn?
  10. what about one for the brand new 350 Chevrolet engines that come in a box, is that still considered a 2019 engine?
  11. cool thank you, I will look into making an adapter, I think if a new crankshaft is not very expensive I will grab one of them . I am thinking more now of putting this engine an old road bike frame, I think its an 18 HP.
  12. Sold the smaller bike, and I am thinking of putting this diesel motor in the stretched bike. its 15 odd HP and fairly small but tall. I need to find a crankshaft with a 1" PTO shaft as this one is a short tapered shaft, I would swap the electric start system off this motor for a pull start if anyone has one?
  13. When you get your engine built get them to make it a side valve, they love low octane.
  14. There must be a reason no motorcycle maker dose that
  15. I think the Hemmings heads and barrels were an update for SV engines, the original Hemmings barrels on this engine had been bored too much and the front one blew off just above the flange and did a bit of damage to the frame. The guy with the KTOR motor has just had a frame made for it, Steve Raffels on the north shore made the frame, that guy who use to own Henderson hire built Morgans and aJAP engine from scratch, I gess you know him?
  16. We were going to use Iron head sportster flywheels with custom knife and fork rods but ended up using what it came with as it was ok, it has side by side rods and the drive side main shaft is very very small
  17. Here is the engine, it was built at Mcintosh racing, it runs well, its around 1100cc, it dropped a valve when the retainer snapped in half but it was ok, I made the exhausts and oils lines, engine plates, mudguards, and half the shit on this bike. it has Hemmings heads, I know a guy who has a KTOR engine on the floor in his shed, I can put you in contact with people but you probable already know them?
  18. At my old work we made a pair of chrome molly barrels for a pair of those reproduction cases out of solid bar, and used Ducatti pistons
  19. I did this to my engine yesterday, its not ideal, would be better in the middle of the port like every other bike, it should let fuel oil mix pass through the bearing when the mix is on its way into the cylinder.
  20. I see you have removed the CCI oil injection, your left hand main bearing will fail very soon unless the case has been modified so it can be oiled by the airfuel mix, I would be keen to know as I want to do this mod my self
  21. It wouldn't be ideal because of the shape of the core but if you made a bigger horseshoe shaped core you could slip the primary wingdings onto that . you could probable use floor sweepings for locating the crack by throwing them on the block with the electromagnet on.
  22. you could get an old microwave transformer and use a cutoff wheel to cut the core and then remove the 2ndry winding's to make a magnaflux tool
  23. Did you get that cab from a guy in auckland?
