Sorry Guys Im down at Waimate for the Street Racing and Waimate 50. -
Tell you what sunshine if you'd seen his face when that car started up it was just like he was a teenager with his first car. For some of us its about giving and seeing these old cars out there on the road and not about what we get out of it. You put your overalls on and come and spend a day giving the old guy a hand you might change your attitude. Obviously there are a few of us don't think like you do !!! I talked to Les after the rest of the guys and girls had left. He had given his all for his country as a Fighter Pilot on 5 Sqn during the war and had suffered enough hardships, its nice to feel that as a band of brothers who have a passion for something, we can also give a little to make some ones day a little better. I think the guys that were there on Sunday will look forward to seeing Les drive his car again. I know I certainly will. What Les does with his car is his business and I hope he will pass it on to his grand kids to look after and enjoy. I am really glad that I can help him achieve his dream which would not have been possible without the help of the guys/girls that gave their time and spare car parts to make Les's dream come true. Enough Said.

How about the Bower Ave Tavern for a Meet. Nice big car park for pikkies, good food n good beer.
-
My good lady is just down in Sovereign Palms so I'm down in Kaiapoi most weekends.
-
Feck Guys are we going round in circles or what !!! Waimate 50 is on over Labour Weekend why not meet up there as there are car displays there too.
-
Thursday night is cool with me.
-
Got the Bug now, what we doing for July Meet ? Any thoughts. Hows about a run to the Blue Pub in Methven, grub is good or even Akaroa, nice windy roads to have some fun on ??
-
Was a great run out, shame there weren't more Old School so that we could hide our Anglia's in the pack. My good lady thoroughly enjoyed the run as she got the keys for the run back. She loved it even tried to outrun a cop car until she got advice from the passenger seat. Haa Haa. Looking forward to the next run.
-
Only parking on the street there. Lets make it a decent run out. Greta has a nice big car park and plenty of room inside and out for socialising.
-
Greta Valley Pub is good its got a nice outdoor area and a big car park n I need to go and see my engine builder who owns the camp site there anyway. Honest wasn't me that burnt down the Waipara Pub.
-
So Guys anyone gonna set a meet time and place in the city so we can all cruise up together. I have a couple of guys who may be interested in tagging along, another couple of Anglia's.
-
Car needs a good blow out. Always up for a blast and have to pop into Greta Valley to thank my engine builder and return his special head torqueing spanner
-
Its Looking Good Jorden. Where abouts are you in Kaiapoi. I'm in Parklands and have a few anglias in my collection so may be able to help with some parts and advice. Have a good source of Anglia Bits from a mate up north if your interested.

Hows about Waimate as the Waimate 50 is on the same long weekend. Lots of car action. Three days of street drags, rallying and around the street racing. Live band and beer tent out on the main street. Been twice now and its BLOODY GOOD FUN. Not much sleep but some great motors and lotsa racing. Just a thought.

Off down for the Biggie meet in November. Gonna take the Anglia down for a blast. Gotta be done its like a pilgrimage.
