GARDRB Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 You must be pretty stoked to be getting such good photos of it if you're in Canada. Would feel good to have that level of detail so you don't have to freak out about what they are finding. Quote

Yeah, really nice to have the car bro's back home doing the lords work behind the scenes I think for a car this age, you can't really expect something that is perfect. I think I got this car relatively cheap considering where they're heading, and even spending more doesn't necessarily mean it'll be any tidier either! Quote
Bistro Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 looks like it's going to be a great rebuilt - epic that you can find some NOS parts out there too ! 1 Quote
Flauski Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Can't wait to see this in the Manawatu when done. How good. Quote

The interior it came with was preeeetty average and think I have better bits to go back in but hasbeen many years since i've dived in the hoard On 10/01/2026 at 10:22, VitesseEFI said: Classy looking repair work been happening there. I'll be getting it painted in Palmerston North by a different crew, they looked after my mates TE37 and did an incredible job so will flick it their ways to continue the good stuff On 10/01/2026 at 12:53, HumberSS said: Are you keeping the Watanabes or going god-tier with a set of Toscos?? Would love to go Tosco's... but that may be a "one-day" thing. The budget doesn't accommodate for tosco's yet haha. Looks pretty bliss on the watanabes for the time being. God mode may be achieved in 2027... TBC 1 Quote

TBC a mate has a set of Tosco copies on my old starlet (theres a pic of it on my camper build thread), hes not particularly fond of them and might be open to letting them go or swapping for something he likes. They would prob need the Pine Eng treatment to fill the guards on yours.. Quote

I did used to have a set of tosco reps but sold them (they're on Horner's Orange KE25 now) - think if i were to go tosco's would probably rip my eyes out and find some genuine ones. One benefit is the genuine ones are actually hub centric for these cars, the reps tend to have a bigger internal hub diameter. I'm on yahoo every day, if some come up at a reasonable price i'll probably have a stab. But with a new exhaust/headers + paint coming i think i'll have to keep the funds tight in the interim Quote
