HighLUX Posted October 18, 2014 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Been doing a manual swap on OS-lockdrifts waka today and everythings gone swimmingly except for the front driveshaft being too long. Used a YX70 wagon for all the donor parts which we thought would make life easy but apparently not as this pic shows Anyone got a lead on what donor to get a front half from? Spencer Posted October 18, 2014 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Yea you notice on the crossmember mounting points the gearbag can be mounted allot further forward for the four banger cars. At a guess you will need a M or G front driveshaft. The Auto shafts sometimes have the same yoke, but Im unsure if the gearboxes are the same length, tried it out? SRacin Posted October 21, 2014 Share Posted October 21, 2014 I did a manual conversion in one years ago and found one that suits at a van wreckers from some random hiace or liteace van. required the back flange swapped so could change centre bearings and was good to go.
