jake.
i was just thinking of putting some gum over the crack on the base of the pipe bit that comes out of the radiator and then using some plumbing tape or something, filling the radiator up and leaving the cap off and see if stops leaking. worth a shot i guess
AllTorque
Tow it home and pull out the rad. Get it fixed properly. You don't want to overheat it.
Rookie
^ this is the best solution. Radiator shops will solder it up, but they don't use localised heat. All I was trying to do was stop the guy completely fucking his radiator, sorry if experience isn't good enough anymore.
jake. dave123456789
I would just top it up, carry 10 bottles of water and just go for it. How bad is it pissing out? Only do this if its not dropping the water quickly. Got any JB Weld in the car?

jake.
note to myself for next time, big red gum and electrical tape works wonders for sealing up leaks
