SOHC
Having some problems with a brand new set of wheel cylinders, my car has 1954 Customline front drum brakes. The wheel cylinders have diffrent sized bleed nipples on the left and right, I think they are a mismached set, the problem is after a few days sitting I can see fluid has been weeping out, i tighten them up as much as i dared to. Anyone come across a fix for something like this?
KKtrips
Most bleed nipples have a tapered seat but some (very few) have a flat seat with a small indent in it - this indent locates a ball bearing into the bottom of the nipple port. So I would check that there isn't meant to be a ball bearing under the nipple seat and it's been left out or fallen out when someone has wound out the nipple or something.

Unclejake
Alternatively you have put the brake like into the wrong hole on the wheel cylinder

KKtrips
Probably very easily. Where in NZ are you? Most hydraulic or specialist brake places will carry what you need. Jaguars are very common to have the ball bearing type and they are imperial.

KKtrips
If they don't have then try Waitemata Hydraulics - they rule for odd shit like this. Alternatively call Paul at Walbran Motors www.mgparts.co.nz and he does Jaguar stuff too so should have them on the shelf.
