anglia4
Our little Mk1 cortina has some really annoying radio interference from the ignition system. What is the easiest way to fix this? What component actually causes it? Would putting a luminition in solve it?
Rookie
Put resistor plugs and new plug wires in it. It is the high voltage spark electrickry that causes it, and not a luminition wouldn't fix it but it would make the car run better.
ProZac
It can also indicate that your condenser (assuming it still has points?) is on the way out.
governorsam
have had good results on some cars by earthing the bonnet. also make shure the radio and aerial have good earths, ie: radio not using the aerial as an earth, if you know what i mean. also try re routing the aerial cable.
